The reason I'm using AES-256, which is the thing that doesn't work with Windows if passwords work with it at all, is because of the weakness of zip crypto, which anyone can break by brute force cheaply. I imagine places like virustotal would do this. It's because it's BGT, any namecheap domains that host BGT games are at risk. Also, after looking at the code, it seems that you will have to extract manually, but not download. When the new version is released the game will try to update to it, say it can't extract the zip and to please do so manually before exiting. You then just extract the zip to the same folder and you're done.

It's namecheap domains because of their ToS but anything that has a ToS that says you can't host viruses and stuff is a risk.

Yes, the update will attempt to unzip with the password, should some future update come after that that still has it.
