Wow! I have to download the new NVDA add-on every time I start Elten, oh well. Either that or say no to it, and not know when there's really a new version of it.
This seems to be a problem on the NVDA sight. So disable or remove the nVDA add on support until this is solved and you won't have this problem anymore with NVDA.
Okay, it's removed and I'll just say no to its installation. I couldn't tell any difference anyhow, with or without it. I wish it wouldn't nag me every time but oh well.
Just a note to Elten beta users. youtube-dl.exe has been moved to elten\extras so if you use a .bat or .cmd file to update that as I do, you'll have to edit that file accordingly. The line that runs the update function should look like this: "%appdata%\elten\extras\youtube-dl.exe" -U
I usually hear that when a file won't play after it does that, at least most times a file won't play when it says that, but the YouTube thing doesn't automatically update, at least not in my experience.
I've noticed, well, just now, that at least this beta, don't know about others, doesn't handle YouTube files well that don't play. Elten crashes and closes.
I don't seem to have any problem with Youtube. I just tried a Youtube clip and it's okay; and concerning the question about the Elten support add on with nVDA, it would be good if there would be a checkbox which you can check or uncheck when that question comes up whether you want to install the NVDA elten support add on. A checkbox which says, "do not ask me anymore", or something like this.
Why? The Addon is there for a reason. Yes, there are quirks, but it's beta software anyway! I'd rather have all bugs fixed, and once the addon works, have it made mandatory.
What I think it is is this: When you open the menu and go over the list, it's not there. But if you go, let's say into Tools and back to the main menu, it's there.
