Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I am having the same problem as Nick6489 right now.
Um, when it comes to patriotic neighbors, that is.
The neighbors like to make really massive explosion-sounding thingies when they do go off,
so if you hear anything throughout this message, that's probably what that is.
Anyway, so Nick6489, welcome to Elton.
Hopefully you enjoy your time on this here thingy.
Hopefully you like it.
And as kind of a side note, were you the one Nick who liked to call into a bunch of those TBRN shows
when they were still around from like 2005 to 2015?
Because I have almost all of the things and stuff archived,
and there's a person named Nick who calls periodically throughout the episodes in those radio show thingies.
I don't know where I was going with that.
My brain kind of died.
Anyway, all of you other people, welcome back.
I know you're not exactly the newest of members, but welcome.
Hopefully you have, I don't know, a good day.
A good time on this program, even though you're not the newest members.
Again, my brain is kind of like not functioning as well as it should be today.
So, yeah, sorry for that.
And I will see you later before I stroke out on any more work.

I can't stand fireworks. I find them horoble. Just out of interest, what is this public holiday for? I mean the 4th of july one. And why must there be fireworks? I guess I could just go and look it up, but if anyone is prepared to answer. Thanks in advance.
okay so happy 4th of July ladies and gentlemen there go fireworks yet again

I'm not originally American so I can't give you a whole history rundown I'll let
an actual original American do that for me and yeah it's basically a day where
we eat a lot of hamburgers set off a lot of fireworks occasionally shoot off a
lot of guns and have fun I guess I'm not sure though

George, can you show us your Chinese skills? It'd be interesting to hear you speak Chinese. Are your ancestors from MAinland China , Hong Kong or Taiwan, and from which city did they come to Canada?
I was born in Canada in 2004 and before that my parents my mom my dad they're in
China's they moved to Canada since 1996 they're originally from Guangzhou and my
only words I know in Chinese is Neiho which is hi and Jaijin which is bye and
know the numbers well like yet-ee some say look Ted bottles up that's counting
to ten in Cantonese I don't know much of Mandarin I know how to say thanks in
Cantonese as dog yeah some very simple words don't know don't mostly I speak
English like can understand some Chinese
you know the numbers well like yet-ee some say look Ted bottles up that's counting to ten in Cantonese I don't know much of Mandarin I know how to say thanks in
so yep and sorry i was posting too late about this but happy canada day ladies and gents for
those who lives in canada and yep it's july 1st that happened
I also would like to guess that George you maybe can speak Cantonese of course because we know actually I know that Guangzhou is capital city of Guangdong which and there is use this Cantonese language also so I think it's same.
Well, they are definitely similar in the sense that, you know, a Mandarin speaker could probably understand a Cantonese speaker, but they would have to strain really hard to do it because they're similar yet not at the same time.

So, Gabriel, let me explain you something. They understand each other but only when a speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese can read the text because the alphabet can connect the Chinese language together because the Chinese alphabet is ideographic or logographic alphabet.
I don't know how to say it in English. But probably speakers know. If you speak, for example, Mandarin and Cantonese, it is very difficult. But if you write, so no problem with it because everybody from China, speaker of Chinese languages can understand it because Chinese languages are actually only connected by a language.
The alphabet, which I heard, by the Chinese script, I'm sorry, the alphabet is a different kind of writing.
Ladies and gentlemen, just checking Elton real quick before I go to sleep.
Um, well...
Yes, as I've said, I'm tired.
What I meant was Mandarin and Cantonese are very, like,
different verbally. I do realize that they use the same
characters because they're of the same linguistic group, but, yeah.
Thanks for your, uh, thanks for your post.
