Well the reason why I asked is, hearing this Event sound might be the cause of following a forum or forum thread. But this is not the case; whether you are following a forum or forum thread or not, the event sound still sounds each time after Elten has been started.

Yep, some folks report it every time, but I've never had it.

i hear that error sound when i open the chat program

What I get is the new chat sound, no error sound. I'm the only one online so it seems, so I can't test it to see if it works, but it appears to do so.

So, I sent a couple of messages. I got a ding sound afterward so I know the messages went through, but nothing shows up in message history, so I'm not quite sure what it's for if it doesn't show messages sent.

It used to work, but it doesn't now.

chat is broken i think. i have made a beta version of my version of text chat, but i closed it.

Since I finally got Windows 2004 last night I decided to download the Elten NVDA add-on. I did, and I still have the same old speech loss problem, so it has been quickly uninstalled.

is there some news about audio calling?

bug. when i want to translate a post with inhansed ctrl shift t, i got a dialog opening sound and thats all. no dialog

Oh dear, that's kind of fun actually. If you want to test that sound for your new theme for example...

To translate something in a post, it's Control T; not Control Shift T!

Control shift t is supposed to work as well. It should show a menu with source and destination language, you make your choices, and the translation result will show in an edit box, so you're also able to copy it. But that's broken at the moment.
