Elten 2.4 beta 60

Strangely enough, there are fields for country, state/province and city but no way to interact with them.

Well if he wants to take it out instead of fixing, why didn't he remove country, state/province and city?

For some reason it's impossible by me to go out of the financial message when updating to the latest beta

Interesting is, when I install the newest beta over the standard version, everything works and there's no financial message.

Quite easy really, just scroll down the message till you hear press number x to continue. That number changes. Then tab to the appropriate number and whack enter or space bar. If you install over a previous beta against recommendation, then that's your risk, and it probably isn't doing something it should, but who knows. I certainly wouldn't risk something like that.

I checked the Elten Web site and I noticed, country, state/province and city have been removed.

If I did a clean install of elten, upon starting of the program, it just said Elten and quit. That's why I had to install the stable version and then beta over it.

I didn't do a clean uninstall, just removed Elten and then left the Elten folder in %appdata%. I had no problem with either Elten or the financial message, once I figured that message business out.

I did the same; removed Elten completely, reinstalled it, and then downloaded and installed the beta 60 version. The financial message only came up after the official installing of Elten. After that, no more. That's what Pajper recommended to do it this way.

Missing location is a bug, will be fixed in beta 61.

To post 10, it was more than three days for the financial message to pop up.

Well I must say, I have had it with this financial message. I just started Elten and the financial message came up again; and no matter which button I pressed, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, Elten each time shut down. Finally, after I pressed the 1 button a couple of times, I could finally log in with my pin code.
Therefore, I insist strongly, that a checkbox should be placed here which says, "Don't show this message; checked or unchecked". The buttons can stay.
Imagine how Elten users may feel about this becoming annoying message, when Elten 2.4 officially will be launched each time when they have to deal with this message again and again and again!!!!!!

I recently gotten said message, where it said for me to press 5 to continue.

That was before I restarted Windows for this week's Dev update.

Once done, signing back in to Elten that is, no announcement pops up.

What about just pressing the appropriate number key? That's what I did, and it worked! And, I had no trouble afterwards!

To railwayguy, post 54, it really isn't that complicated. No, you cannot just keep pressing numbers without scrolling down to see what number is to be pressed. Once you find that, press the appropriate number, and thanks, Karl, for that tip. The number will change with each presentation of the message so you can't assume the number is the same every time, because it won't be.

As far as waiting for 2.4 stable, the folks who are running 2.3.6.1 stable already deal with the financial message, with the five number choices. So, maybe they can figure this out, as I eventually did, and thanks again, Karl. Before, I was always tabbing to the number wanted.
