Moderator Election (March 2026)
Wróć do Administrative Announcements & Discussion/Feedback#1 Sir-Charlie
At long last, the poll is here. It will run until 17TH March at 11:59PM Atlantic Standard Time. I had initially said top 2 becomes mod but because there are only 2 applicants the winner becomes mod and we'll work with that mod for now. I'm keeping the moderator applications thread open just in case anyone should want to run in future.
Have fun, and good luck to our candidates. I have no qualms about working with either of them, so at least to me, either candidate winning is a W to me.
#2 Jonathan
Good luck Felix, I think you'd also do a solid job at moderation at this point, therefore well, we'll just see what the results say. I can't imagine to many voting for me lol but hey.
Thanks for making the poll.
#3 khalil2009
I mean you could probably add a both option just in case people want that, I mean both are good candidates and it would also take the work off of 1 moderator alone
#4 Kaito
If both was an option, I would've chosen both.

OK, elten is being dumb, it's telling me in the polls menu that there are 30 votes but when I hit show results or report everything is 0ed out wth...
#6 Lingelwap
It's because the votes are set to hidden.

Whatever happens to the community, the option of telling shit and leaving the group immediately still remains possible.
With this I'm not saying everyone should do this, but the fact that no matters how good moderators we have, people are going to abuse the app's vulnerability and errors.

Administrators and moderators of official community groups are able to invite the person, forcing them to join automatically. Then a ban can be enforced.
#9 Sir-Charlie
I didn't consider the possibility of having both as an option until now.
#10 Jonathan
Is that forcing them in actually? Interesting.

I mean I don't see a problem with it over all, I guess we can see how close we're together or something, if it's balanced you could consider it. Just a suggestion over all, I'm good with anything at this point.

Yeah it is. Pajper said it a while ago, I think in the sponsor group.

No. They can't. We tried.

actually this works now. It was done in the german communities, so they apparently fixed that silently in some elten update. The bigger issue is that there is no account verification whatsoever and admins and mods of groups can't ban someone computerID or Ip wide.

I mean, is this really an issue? Other than that time Hunter was trolling was there a time when it became much of an issue? Leander made a couple alts, we bnned him, then he gave up after the 3RD attempt.
#17 Sir-Charlie
The poll ends tonight. Are you s exciteds I am?
#18 Jonathan
Well then, gratulations to Felix ig. Nothing surprising ngl. Have fun moderating this place, think you'll do good.
#19 karmien
thank you for voting me guys. I am really excited to moderate here.
#20 Sir-Charlie
MODERATION!
Given the results of the poll, Karmien has been promoted to being a moderator.
I understand that he didn't win an absolute majority, however, if we were to assume a head to head match up, Karmien would have won some 65% of the vote.
Now, the amount of you who voted for None of These Candidates are not an insignificant block, in fact, if None of These Candidates were a person, she would have placed second and I would have likely had to run a run off. However, I trust that Karmien will conduct himself suitably and ease those of you who have concerns.
@Jonathan, I would like to thank you for throwing your hat in the ring. Even though you didn't win this time, tere are still opportunities for you to come in the future.
