This is about a game that recently came out. You basically have to defend your forest base at night, and at daytime, you do everything that contributes to it. Build up your base storage, feed residents who can help you, get better equipment, backpacks and weapons, etc. You also got a bunch of quests and adventures as a side thing every day. Has anyone here played it yet, and if yes, any thoughts? I'm kinda adicted personally. Even though there's no music and some sounds could need improving. Sometimes it's actually relaxing.
To be honest I tried it but the sound design is so low-effort it's not even immersive. I didn't give up though and maybe only I didn't fully understand the concept so I'll give it another chance once it gets updated.
The only thing that's actually bothersome for the experience for some are the menu sounds. I mean at least they didn't use only game master audio like some other developers so I do appreciate that at least. Of course the sounds are great but even for a sound guy like me the game is very enjoyable. Also more unique for once and actually engaging. The AI main menu music? Not a fan. But that's a tiny part of the game so I try to not think of it. The only thing I don't understand is why we should pay if the sourcecode will be freely accessible and all that.
I love this game. I've played it for the past 2 days. The sourcecoe is on the itch.io page, I'm not sure if it is going to be made free or not.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
Even when I equip a spear I still die because there's not enough info on how to fight something. There are more things that could be improved about the info as well in my opinion. I'm strongly considering deleting the game.
I have played this game, and I have to say that it is a very cool concept. However, the UI beeps are a little bit annoying. But aside from that, the game was just so well thought out.
I mean honestly the only thing that bothers me about it is how it was written. There's barely punctuation or spacing in between stuff. He wrote it in a hurry, apparently? Though if you mess around, and just enable the brain a bit, it honestly gets you started well enough. Watch Chris's video on it, that's what I did to get to know this game and it got me started pretty nicely.
I tried watching that but couldn't follow it much. Then I joined the group Patricus started and didn't get much help there either. I even watched Patricus's video but his audio was so low and his explanations as sparse as they were in the group. I kept dying and needing a pet or something to help me through the swarms and couldn't do that either.
