hey there. Recently I heared that the Whatsapp app will no longer work and We'll need to use the web version, but the thing is that for some people that didn't hapened yet. Anyone knows a way to remain with the windows app? I will use the web version if there is not any way but at least for now the windows app is still working for me.
it was possible when installing the previous version outside microsoft store but the problem now is it updates automaticly at least for me even though I don't have microsoft store.
The only thing I didn't like about the new update is that it logged me off. Fortunately the QR code worked again. The new interface was easy for me to learn.
I seriously wouldn't recommend downgrading, as much as you want to protest, at the end nobody will remotely care and yu just risk yourself and people you write with to security issues. Sorry to break it to ya.
@9 as far as I know there'll be a time when that version completely stops working but I'm not sure when. @10 it was working yes, but you know Meta and their love for breaking and destroying good stuff that they make..
For now, try pressing g for hopping between messages. It kinda works that way. -- (DevilGuardian): I would of liked this update way better if they added heading navigation support to messages in chats.
Because when you are in a group, it starts reading awfully long phone numbers. I personally don't use focus mode because of that reason.
-- (Jonathan): Why not just use focus mode though? At least for navigating through messages.

When the app is open I get notifications when I receive messages. On the phone it's a bit more reliable as the notifications come in even when the app is closed. Both devices tell me when the person was last seen, but no current online or offline status.
