You are more than welcome to discuss them, but please, please do not share or ask for them. There are plenty of channels where you can get them that does not include this forum.

It's rather interesting seeing so many established names within this community playing the game, considering their stance on clones. i won't go into details, but you know who you are. I generally like the game because it's one of the very few games that is still being updated. Blame the devs for discontinuing their games, not the players please, I will continue to play clones until developers get their common sense back and revive the titles we all loved so much.

While I agree with you on the first half of what are you saying, I can't do so when you think players are the victims here and everyone has their rights to play these clones. Developers are people, just like we are. They can burn out, can have problems in life, with health, etc. Just because you are a spoiled blind kid who must get something, or is going to have a tantrum, developers still deserve to be treated fairly and they have all rights to stop working on their projects.

I can't disagree with you to be honest, the issue is that this is a systemic issue, this has been happening for years now and with countless devs, so I'm starting to think that there's something fundamentally wrong with our community. I don't want to blame the devs, but at the end of the day, these developers still make a conscious decision to abandon their games. We've seen many examples where a dev decided to quit, and made the game open source or playable by incorporating custom servers, and in the majority of cases this has worked out quite well. I must applaud the developers of Ultra World here (if they can even be called that, because I admit this is definitely a clone) for making the game open source on GitHub, so we can all contribute with our suggestions or code. Let me be clear here, because I realise I often post without thinking thoroughly before posting: I would definitely prefer original titles over cloned games. Alas, not many original online titles are available right now, so some of us are basically forced to play clones, because we don't want to completely give up on audio games all together. That's my stance, and I know it's controversial. I love audio games. I've enjoyed all the original titles the most: City of division, Bloodstorm, Survive the wild, Redspot. Just look what happened to all of them. I should also point out I'm a casual player, which means i hop on a game for 30 minutes and then leave, I don't have the time nor the energy nowadays to play consistently for hours on end. Thus, clones are unfortunately my only option, even though I would of course like to see an original title being offered

yeah for me, I dont really care if a game is a clone or not. open soursing ultra world was the only thing they could o, because an x developer of the game leeked there latest sourse all over the place, and they spent a few days after trying to defend from attackers. they ended up open soursing in the end and so far its been working good, though the playerbase has dropped quite a bit.

have you noticed more attacks since the game was open sourced?

The only people I recognise on that list are Golden Secret, Pax, Nuclear, possibly Kiwi James, yourself of course, and one other person who I can't remember. And none of those people are surprising to me
