Hey all. so not sure if this si the right place for this so you can move it if neded but here is the thread where we can talk about web hosting. I currently have a hostinger premium plan, like 11 bucks a month for a freedomain, 2 mailboxes, 25ssd storage, etc. its pretty nice, and very fast.
I host my websites in Docker Containers on my server. A lot more than what you pay ($39 monthly) but it works great and I use it for more than just web hosting.
no, because there is now a limit in cloudron that i have used in the past, and that is why using a debian server is sooooooooooooooooooo much better than ubuntu, all tho you get team talk hosting, but you can do that threw debian.
Sorry, what you said either doesn't make any sense or you expressed it in a quite strange matter. Could you please elaborate? You can host TeamTalk regardless of distribution. Apart of that there may be hosting-provider specific limits or restrictions, but that doesn't have anything to do with how the OS works for itself unless they use heavily customized images which I wouldn't recommend to use for various reasons.
yeah I got confused there too. -- (rudolf): Sorry, what you said either doesn't make any sense or you expressed it in a quite strange matter. Could you please elaborate? I'm confused. you can host teamtalk on most distributions. rather debian, ubuntu, AlmaLinux, rocky linux /rell etc. ubuntu is based on debian so I don't see why it wouldn't' work, and rell/ AlmaLinux / rocky linux/ cent os have there own binary as well
there used to be an issue with tt beeing only compiled for debian but not for ubuntu which caused some kind of dependency conflict apparently, but i think it has been resolved by now.
