so there is a soundfont that elten uses and it has some kind of like roland-esk sounds from like the sc55 or something. Or maybe its another sf2, but what sound font does elten use to play midi files?

Click Edit on Virtual MIDI Synth When you select or change a soundFont and you can find the name of the Default font.

You can put any sound font on virtual midi synth. Even the soundFont.sf2 files that you renamed will still work. But when you change the sound font SF2, when you press the edit button on virtual midi synth, you will still find the original name of the sound font.

About Elten's default sound font, Some of the sounds on this font combines Yamaha, Roland, Korg, And other companies. And others are original sounds that the sound font developer did with his own instruments.
