Look. I really don't want this to turn into another Apple VS Android debate, so if that was your intension in coming here, please, I beg of thee, drop it. Anyways, Apple's cheaper option, the iPhone SE is set to be updated and introduced today. What are your thoughts? I may end up upgrading if the price is right. I'm currently running an iPhone 7+, so it's about due for an upgrade. My phone still works fine, but it's still lacking quite a bit of QOL Features.

Well ngl, I would sell my iPhone 14 or something and get that. At this point I'd love to have a small and handy apple phone like an SE again. Those are the only phones that do something right still. And would be a good IOS companion for the Pixel as main phone.
@2, there'd basically be no point since the roomours say the SE4 is going to have the same body as the 14. @3, like I said above. It gives you an iPhone 14 body but it also has USB, the same processor as the 16 and Apple Intelligence. Realistically that's it. If you have a modern iPhone already there's not much point of upgrading imo. But for someone like me on a much older phone then it seems pretty worth it. Especially if the roomours saying it's $500 are correct.

@4 ok that seems nice though! 500 would take a grip of that if I were you. Why can't Apple not sell other models that cheep if this is basically an iPhone 14, just, newer? @5 honestly this thing with touch ID, simulated home button stuff sucks and is really old. Android has done it better with giving you both choices, but honestly then I'd still rather go for an iPhone with face ID like the 14 I have laying around, rather than going back to this(old school Apple). I just really don't feel it. It might take more time but swiping up seems more comfy for me after all those years being used to it.
I don't know if I'll ever get used to moving on from the home button. I really love the sensation of clicking it, even if it's simulated @6, I think they make it cheaper by using the older body, the older screen and they have less cameras. I think an iPhone 14 now sells for like $600, so them selling the SE2025 for $500 checks out.

I like a normal siced one as main phone because I actually use the screen, but for a 2nd phone i'd prefer something small at this point. Especially from Apple, because no matter how big, the speks are shit, so I'll just take a small one with at least a bit of nice feeling.
Yeah @8 I had that problem with the home button. I have a 13 now and got used to it. But yeah I do agree about the small phones ting, I prefer a small one. Just easier to carry around for me.
Hahahahaha a 7+? I want to go full blindy salvo on you and complain, but really... Good on you for not caving to the trend. Enshittification and all that, but really, apple's earlier models aren't as prone to breaking utterly after two years. I've switched to android so that won't be on my radar currently, but seeing as IPhones are exhorbitantly expensive and literally no one wants to spend a thousand USD on a damn phone, I'll definitely look into their cheaper options if I move back over.

LOL, they're saying it'll be released next week. They've actually been saying the SE4 would've been released since 2023 so IDK when they'll actually launch it. But I'm pretty sure they'll do it, they can't sell anything older than an iPhone 15 in many markets so they're going to need something cheaper.

I heard it will be called iPhone 16E. Don't know if this is true, but just to let you know. And as for me, I was an idiot and upgraded from the SE2020 to the 15 Pro because my battery got old and it just started lacking, and now, one and a haf year later, I could get a new phone with apple intelligence for half the price.
