I guess music is my biggest addiction.

I specifically avoid listening to music cuz when doing so my mind gets entirely devoted to sinking in the music. selected
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

Ahh, music. When I don't listen to it for 2, 3 days meaning my fave music, I feel like I am missing something in my life, but I'd call it a passion, not necessarily an addiction. I heard some controversial opinions which state that if you're listening to music a lot, you're simply distracting yourself from self-reflection and dealing with any negative emotions, which you should address, but that's complete bullcrap, if you ask me.

Nicotine since 2017 or so, but opioids are my dominant addiction. for over six or seven years (don't remember correctly) -currently on methadone substitution treatment. You have no idea how strong and overwhelming this addiction is. Morphine, oxycodone, poor heroin or fentanyl with wide range of derivatives make it even more complex. Not to mention rapid tolerance.
My life got easier on methadone, but it's not ideal. I still need to use something else with methadone or in case of lack of it despite of high dosage.

The relationship with my family has improved since I started my methadone treatment, but still my mother is quite concerned and I don't know how to help her not to worry that much. The most heartbreaking to hear is that she things It's partly her fault. No, it never was.

are you comfortable sharing how it started? I'm just curious

I have too much empathy towards anyone and am over sensitive, that's why I think it "fixes" my personality, metaphorically speaking. I also have chronic pain issues. Currently combining methadone with THC, mainly due to great muscle relaxation that many indica-dominant strains offer.

interestingly for me, I don't get good muscle relaxation on THC. I tried THC for the first time just yesterday, but not in the form of weed but in edible form. I was completely out of it but I was very shaky. It was an interesting experience, not that positive, but it was most likely because I took too much.

I guess you're right, indica dominant is the way to go

It depends on many, many aspects like the type of the strain you use and even terpene profiles, kind of complicated to explain.
