Please, do share your thaughts about hardstyle and qlimax! I've been listening to previous defqon.1 videos and hopefully qdance will put up their stuff from this year's defqon.1 on youtube sometime.

well I don't lissen to music that much but I don't hate or like hartstyle, I am aktually kinda neutral.

I recently, by that, I mean ten months ago or so, got into edm, and got into some more hardstyle things five months after that with a bootleg of harris and ford weekend party. Since then, I've had some hardstyle in my music genre. I recommend the raw monkey tetris hardstyle remix, it's pretty good.

Hardstyle is great when it comes to melodies and general performances, but instrumentally I really hate the kick associated with hardstyle. I suppose it's a bass drum kick with some additions, probably it's heavily processed in the mix as well, not sure.
It just doesn't sound good to me, it's way too exposed, in your face kind of kick, rather than being punchy, but subdued. I guess I prefer that, or just don't like it's sound.

I love hardstyle, but especially melodies.

yes, the melodies are amazing. If you want unusual hardstyle kicks, listen to vertile

I'm addicted to hardstyle. Vertile, headhunters, soundrush, da tweekaz of course, those 2 are just beasts, I also love b-front, sub zero, etc etc. I could list like 40 more names but you get the point. I pretty much like all hardstyle artists. My fav genre by far.
