server hosting

hello guys. so I nead a decent server hoster and not one of those free ones because those are shit and I nead somewear in the united states because that's closer to me. anyone know of good vps hosters?

@rudolf there are some free server hostings like oracle, AWS, google cloud, etc. but you have to enter your credit card info.
And @khalil have you tryed digital ocean?, or azure?
Some of my friends using these, and they say it's good, but I can't get those to to test and conferm.

I am at contabo, basically they offer servers in many countrys but the page is in german so yup...

@5, those aren't free hosting services, they just offer free trials.

Google cloud should work also I think, never tryed it out myself because idk if its accessible but saw youtube videos about it.

nah the contabo page can be in english as well. and their network was shit last time I tryed them, server would lag very bad when I'm trying to send over a command

probably Contabo's DDOS protection from Twelve99 causes some initial response lag. unfortunately you cannot turn it off as far as I know.

linode is too pricey for mor than 1 gig of ram
