Hello everyone, so I decided to start a thread to see what cool unique gadgets people have that make sound, or like you can make them make sound like they're really cool and unique.
So mine is this musical desktop calculator. So when you press the buttons, each one makes notes. So this is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. And then there's plus. So all these buttons, they make notes. So I'm going to play the Samsung Homecoming ringtone on here.
So this is a really cool calculator. I know I messed up a note, but I'm trying to get used to it. But it's really cool.
So I want to see what you guys have.
hey kitty cat it's been a long time I hope you're well and I hope everyone else here as well so I
have an interesting gadget I was gonna show off my sense player but that's that's not really
interesting everybody's got one of those right or at least has heard of it so I thought an interest
more interesting gadget to show off would be this ham radio that I have here actually I've had it
since like 2017 but the interesting thing about this is it's very musical about itself so we turn
it on it does that and the cool thing is when you enter a frequency so I'm going to enter one two
two eight zero zero it's very musical about itself but not only that when you lock the keypad you can
kind of make a scale so so yeah you can kind of you know make a song out of it oops yeah and also you
can you can use it as a sensor so you know if you if you don't feel like swearing you can just
you know hit one of the buttons here and you know talk like that so if you're mad about
something you can really really really
express it anyway yeah so that that's that that's my gadget there
Well, a cool and unique gadget that makes sound that I have.
Well, allow me to introduce you to the over-glorified dog whistle that me and some Team Talk friends have very lovingly named the Capsule Blaster.
Now, this Capsule Blaster in particular, I'm going to kind of try to describe it.
It's kind of a rectangular shape with three buttons on the back of it.
The first button here is a light in combination with a beeping sound at the key of C-sharp.
I guess the buttons are very loud on it. I could just do this.
Like switch it on and off while holding the button down.
Anyway, that happens.
And then the next button up is the dog whistle, which I will demonstrate in a second.
The third button is the dog whistle in combination with the light.
I'm supposing for very disobedient puppies.
Anyway, all that said, the really cool thing about the dog whistle in my hand, and I haven't Englished too much today, so if I start stumbling over words, you know why.
It seems to be a common thing in these forum posts.
The reason we call this thing the Capsule Blaster is because what it does...
...when in very close contact to the microphone is very extraordinary, especially this one.
See, the Blue Yeti that I'm currently using has three capsules inside of it.
Therefore, when I pan this thing around the microphone, it prevents whatever capsule it's facing to vibrate,
therefore creating audio.
So...
...technically, I could do something like this, where I just like...
...involuntarily start panning.
Also, I...
...had spun...
...without knowing it in my chair, so if I was right-panned for that whole, like, last bit, you know why.
But basically, I could kind of do something like this, where I just start, like, panning because of the frequency of the...
...dog whistle.
And don't worry, this isn't damaging to the...
...microphone in any way. We've tested it extensively.
So, yeah, that's the thing that makes it extraordinary, and the reason we call it the Capsule Blaster.
Now, it does other cool things to other mono-capsule microphones, but some of them are very painful and very high-frequency,
so I'm not going to show them off here.
That said, I don't have them connected to my computer, so that wouldn't work regardless.
But, um, yeah, that's just what it does to the Yeti, and it's kind of cool.
I've kind of just been messing around with it for the last few days.
over and out. I stand with the people of Palestine
This actually reminds me of two things that blew up on YouTube a few years ago.
So this one, that I'll play in a second, and I'll play the other one after this one's done.
It gets better.
It gets better.
And then after that one, there's this one, which was the one that really blew up on YouTube.
I think it was right before COVID is when I found it.
I think it was before COVID is when I found it.
I think it was before COVID is when I found it.
Anyway, so basically this, if you want to find all these, you can just search up making music on a musical calculator or making music with a calculator.
That was my specific search.
