I think you can. when you open your android from the first time, you can, IDK how this works, I think you net a cable, maybe you can do it with ICloud, I don't know honestly, I saf this the last time in 2022.

Snapchat is better for IOS actually, but About discord, IDK.
But, Snapchat keep's updating and they are improving that stuff.

#23

Discord is much better on android in my opinion. I remember having a lot of ishues when navigating around servers and that's not on android. Snapchat is less usable on Android devices yet,, but I hope they will fix it. And the accessibility of Tiktok is a little bit better then on IOS.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

Well I really need snapchat for these people here. And on iOS they make t worse now I think, like now I can't even exit a chat or get bothered with lenses.

I have an IPhone and Xiaomi Android at the same time. I prefer using Android because there are lots of limitations about russian apps, payments, etc from apple. So here apple shows its true face. It can control anything, from what apps you can and cannot use to what photos you can open and send. I am talking about a new feature about analyzing your content to protect children from nude photos in internet.
Okay, it was my butthurt.
Now something more usefull:
firstly, check all your favorite apps and ensure that they have accessible for blind alternatives on android. Especially doublecheck about banking software and essential things like facebook, telegram, any everyday app you use.
When you are sure about apps, think about a screenreader and TTS. You can choose from tonn of TTS modules, either free or payed if you want. And do not stuck on talkback. There is one more screenreader from chinese developers called Jieshuo, or commentary screenreader.
Jieshuo has payed features but i know people who use free version without any suffering. Jieshuo works much faster and has more abilities for customization than talkback. You even can make a voiceover-like sound theme and gesture set if you want.

BTW, about payed programs. Piracy is bad, very very bad and i do not recommend or promote any piracy here, but on android it is possible. You can install apps just from internet, including non-legal versions with activated premium features.
Again, i do not recommend that way because at least it is not honest to developers, and btw, yes, there are viruses for android.
They cannot destroy your system without root access or steal all of your files, but if you accidentaly grant some permissions or do something else they can.

I hope this information will help you to choose the best option for you.

Feel free to write me here or better in private messages if you have any questions about android phones, system or migrating your data from iOS to Android.

The big, large downside of Jishuo is that you don't have a braille keyboard. That's the only reason I am still using talk Back.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

On the other side, as far as I know, you have ABK, which you can use with whichever screen reader.

Well. For my part, at the end I've now ordered an iPhone 14 which will arrive in 6 days at the store. To lazy for all this system switching thing.

arctic moon, your are absolutely right! Advanced Braille Keyboard works with whatever screenreader.
There is some problem with hungarian keyboard in ABK, but i am still trying to fix it by repacking ABK with another set of translation tables.

Maybe I have to look into abk indeed, but from the manuel it just seemed so inconvenient compared to talk back's simpel keyboard.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

I have an Android phone and an Android tablet. There is one thing that really annoys me though. When setting up a new Android device, Speak Passwords in TalkBack is turned off by default. That is an issue because if you go to type your password, you won't know what you are typing because TalkBack will just say "Bullet Bullet."

#34

yeah I hate that

#35

and also, I have a samsung phone with android 12 or something, or maybe 13, I don't know anymore, it is called samsung galaxy a 72, I am using it as my main phone, and aktually it is enough for the things I ned it. whats app, spotify and so on.

I had a Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Snapdragon 865, 6 GB RAM, all that good stuff. And I still sold it. A few things made me do this:

* Audible became a mess of items. No actions menu. Just book name. Book name, button. Play book name. More actions button. For each book. I ain't dealing with all that junk.
* Less voices: If I were to get a Pixel 8, no Eloquence. Vocalizer isn't even on the Play Store anymore. Accapella is barely updated. ESpeak isn't even updated much. So basically all we have is sucky Google TTS and RHVoice, and Accapella I guess, although it sounds awful in comparison to Samsung TTS and even the Siri voices sound better than Accapella now.
* Google apps barely use actions: Youtube? No actions. Youtube Music? No actions. Phone? No actions. Messages? No actions. The only thing that uses it is Gmail. And you still can't move directly from one message to another like you can with Apple's Mail app.
* Blind Android users think it's perfect: Just about everyone I've seen on the Blind Android Users mailing list and Telegram group are all in on Android being perfect, that iOS users should just get used to it, all that. They are like, we should get used to it or go back to iPhone. So, I went back to iPhone. They hate any change that comes to their dear TalkBack, and as long as Google listens to them, as long as Google gets its data from them, TalkBack, and Android as a whole, will not improve to the point where iOS users can pick up any Android phone and feel great about it like sighted people easily can.

I've got an androide tablet. Accessibility is ite. I like it though. It's not that hard to use.

I dont have an Android phone myself, but I tried my dad's Samsung Galaxy S Nine's talkback feature and it's not bad for the blind.
