Avast has an ishue where it sends every .exe to the labs for so called investigation, so there is some data collection going for sure. But I honestly don't mind because the AV is good and I don't have to spend money for good protection.

actually, almost every antivirus does this. Windows defender also sends data if you don't disable that feature.

Destroy your computer(s), your mobile device(s), your router, any other electronic device that transmits data, be it via the internet or any other means, and move to a desert island. Just make sure you have enough food, water, clothes etc to last you a good few years.

Seedy, the problem is not only with collecting data. Someone must be really naive to believe if a program says it's not collecting and sending data. The problem is more in the quality of antiviruses.

that's true. It is not the same that avast collects our data, than that panda collects it and uses it to let the grandmother of that antivirus know what the hell she will use it for. considering that this thing is very bad.

no, I run avast on my main machine, and eset on my vm for testing
