hey guys so this is just a thread about mechanical keyboards um you can share what you're using
you can i don't know provide a sound sample um right now i'm using this crappy thing which i'll
be replacing in three days with some hyper x stuff with like brown switches but right now i'm using
this stupid blue i think it's redragon k551 or k552 that like it cost 50 bucks two years ago when i
bought it um but basically this is how it sounds as you can see the stabilizers the stabilizers are
really rattly um it also doesn't have like that good switches but right now like i'm getting a
new keyboard also like you can tell your preferences for what switches you like because
i really wonder what switch you guys like the most i think i write like like tactile
but not as loud as blows like i'm starting to realize that i don't like these anymore but yeah
As for keyboards, about three years ago, I was all about the click. Last year, I wanted to upgrade my keyboards to reds, and I had a spare black keyboard laying around, which I used, then I started to not care, so I switched back to my blue das keyboard model s professional. In March, I decided that my keyboard was too loud again, so I went bak to the black, tried to get a g613 which I did, but the L key was broken. So now I'm going to wait until prime day and try again. For the day that I had it, it was a nice keyboard with light typing force, quiet, and sounding nice. I could type faster than I could on it too. The MX blacks are just too heavy for my liking but I've been using it for a while now, and it's what I'm using right now to type this out. It's loud but it's all clack, unlike the click and clack of the other one. It's nice to have non-click keyboards when using the arrows so you can still type loud but you can arrow around almost silently.

I prefer typing quietly, and the Logitech model I'm using now is the quietest of the Logitechs I've used. It's more durable as well. I can't remember the model number but the cord comes straight out of the back rather than curling around and wearing out quickly like on my former Logitech.
As for post number three, it's subjective. I lik that I can bottom out and not feel like I'm typing on a mushy mat. In some cases, they can be quieter, for instance when I'm arrowing through something on linear or tactile it's a bit quieter, you can get your switches customized in many ways, such as lubricant, height, actuation force, spring weight, and actuation distance. But some people like the sound, some people really like that click, the point for me being that they are customizable for you.

all right folks so this is my new keyboard you can hear how it sounds
so this is the hyper x uh alloy origins it has like brown equivalents of like uh it's like it
has aqua switches hyper x aqua switches um they're really good like they're the smoothest
i had described them personally as the smoothest switch that is still tactile but it's almost like
linear like i seriously it's not the same like as the cherry browns anyway i have a question what
do you guys prefer for keycaps i know that's very subjective but i actually prefer abs
um because they're like smooth i i like these smooth keycaps i don't like that rough feeling
like i like these smooth keycaps and like they're not slippery like i i you you could say that
they're slippery but they're actually not um but yeah i wonder what you prefer i really like
this keyboard i don't know if it's a good keyboard i don't know if it's a good keyboard
so far it's um i i was used to blues but i actually like these way better
hello uh this is gabriel here um with a very extremely clicky yet cheap 30 blue switch
mechanical keyboard um so my input on this is that while blue switches are extremely good
they're not exactly the most um i guess um sorry english has just failed me entirely
hold on they're not exactly the most um give me one second all right practical is the word i was
looking for it's about um a minute later and i've just been sitting here thinking what the freaking
word was sorry anyway practical thing at like four in the morning when you're just like trying
to get something finished and um they're just you know clicking and clocking away at you

a pretty nice keyboard i went to this camp and my friend was giving my other friend a
um red switch keyboard i believe it was and i tried it and i actually kind of liked it so i
like the red switches the blue switches feel nice to type on and that's like the reason i keep it
around and i also have no other keyboard at this current moment but um you know they're clicky
sometimes the click is enjoyable but like you know not at four in the morning you know what i mean so
i like the blues and they're really nice to type on and they're satisfying
but you know not exactly practical so uh there's my input on that

Well, yeah, but the thing is, they're also not versatile that much.
Like, I wanted something very versatile between gaming and typing.
So, that's why these, for example, are way better.
Like, I can just type very well.
But, like, they also feel very comfortable to type on.
Like, I can type very well on these.
But they're also good for, like, gaming and mashing keys, for example.
You know, like, you can mash keys here faster than lose.
That's for sure.
So, quick update, I got the Razer Black Widow mechanical keyboard, keyless.
Now, keyless doesn't mean it has no keys, it means it doesn't have a numpad, but it does have the page up and down keys.
I got the green switches, as you can hear, and I was wondering if there's a way to turn off the lights on the keyboard.
I don't know.
I think you have to use som sort of software to turn it off. Also, the word you are looking for is tenkeyless, meaning a full-sized keyboard (104 keys) with the numpad cut off (87 keys.) I think it's referred to as tkl only referring to the number keys and forgetting about every other key on the numpad.

Yeah, man, Razors are really good.
I think that pretty much anything Razor that you go with is going to run you quite a high price,
but it's also going to be worth it in the long run, to be honest with you.
I mean, I have HyperX. I was thinking about Razor, but just didn't have the...
I mean, I had the funds, but to be honest, I don't feel like spending 200 bucks on a keyboard.
But yeah, I don't need all the bells and whistles that Razor comes with.
I just need a high-quality keyboard that has mechanical switches and that's it.
Like, good build quality, good keys, stuff like that.
I don't really need the software or I don't need macro stuff or whatever.
Like, I just want a good, high-quality, dependable keyboard.
That's everything that I want, to be honest with you.
Ordered a das 4 ultimate with mx browns from ebay, used condition for $4. Turns out that half of t ekeys have the top part of the costar stabs melted to them somehow, so I broken one of those. Also the keycaps are worn so much that the f and j bumps are almost gone. I'm ordering a set of blank keycaps and some costar mounts to get this thing how I like it when prime day rolls around. Also, this thing sounds very unconsistant, I like the sound of the space bar, it doesn't sound like anything I have heard before. But eh problem for me is that my escape key, for whatever reason, with these keys, sounds complettely different, also bassier than the rest of them for some reason. It's a good keyboardto type on, etter than what I had before, I just want to get better keycaps and things like that and then I'll be happy. Also quite happy about the volume wheel, that's going to be nicer when I actually change the volume, I really don't do that much for some reason.

all right start out here with another recording of existence um so i found out a bit more about
the keyboard it is a mage g i believe 2020 it's one of their newer um it's one of their newer
keyboard brands and yes i do realize that that does sound like the you know pinnacle of off-brand
gaming keyboards but i can tell you that this thing has served me for two years already
it's been on flights it's you know been you know beaten up and it hasn't taken one dent it's
you know still in tip-top condition and you know um therefore i don't have problems with it being
you know a bit on the cheaper side as long as you know it doesn't break within two days of
it being used and um i would also
you know i would also i would also i would also i would also i would also i would also
um however like to say that again what i you know dithered on in the last recording is
that the blue switches aren't exactly the most practical thing you know they are a bit better
now because i you know we moved out of that house where i was sleeping where my room was like right
under someone else's that i had to worry about not waking up every day but um the you know the
switches are still extremely loud and very clicky
so when i'm doing things like you know tech tutorials for example or um recording you know
or i mean streaming like radio stuff you know they're not exactly the most practical thing
or like especially since you can hear them through this noise canceling professional studio
grade condenser that i have but you know i still like the keyboard it's an awesome keyboard and um

Anyway, I have this Logitech keyboard.
It, you know, sounds like an Apple Magic keyboard, sort of, but don't be fooled.
I do not have the money for one of those.
And I got that at a camp a few weeks ago, and mainly I just, like, use it for my phone.
When I, you know, need to text someone back about something and I'm on a call with another person, for example.
And, you know, dictation can't be used in that certain moment.

I don't understand why.

Like, for example, the green switches are the blue, I think, and the purple are the reds, I think.

I don't exactly remember, but I do know that green switches are blue in this case for every other keyboard.

I use a numpad religiously.
For, like, day-to-day life because I find it much easier than the number row.

Hello everyone, this is KittyKat. Um, you know what, everyone knows I'm Alexa already, it's fine.
Anyway, um, so, I got this keyboard a few weeks ago. It is the, uh, the, sorry, I cannot speak.
The HyperX Alloy Elite 2. It is a red switch. Um, it has a, it has media buttons, a volume, uh,
a volume knob, and it has a USB hub on it. And, um, so, before that, I was using a DOS Professional, uh,
blue switch keyboard. Um, I really, I got really, really annoyed with how clicky it was.
I don't like blue switch as much anymore. Um, but, here's a sound, here's a sound test of my, my red switch keyboard.
So, that's how my keyboard sounds.
I may seem strange now, but I have a habit of pulling out buttons from the keyboard and twisting them in my hands. The buttons of the membrane keyboard weaken and constantly fall out from this, but not on the mechanical one.
