Hellooo, reviving, because I can, and to state my piece,

1 - I said it to afriend, and it is true, we, as blind people, only got each other.
- We, can't, and won't, fit in other places. IT is hard, at least, currently, not in a place full of memes and pictures that they laugh about, including silent videoes, people who can go everywhere, and get anything done, while you require a hand with it, depending on where you are in the world, that includes a family that keeps telling you, oh, yeah, son, it is because of your circumstances and people gotta understand, and i say, they don't have to.

2 - So even if you think you are different, you might be doing a thing or two that makes you different from people around you, but you will have the same issues regardless, and even if, you will need to proove yourself, but the issues, partially will remain.
I have taken part in several hobbies, but they were all among blind people, like music, and swimming. They helped me making friends, but nothing lasted, sadly.
I tried games, but thanks to my current sleep schedule, and how we have isolated groups in games, mostly, as of these days this no longer works, and I spend my time on YouTube.Currently.
Work is what keeps me entertained currently, and is what I like waking up for but... meh... I will need to look for other things to do, like hanging out with my friend more, looking for love, which, as stated in your posts, and due to personal experiences, it won't be found, not easily.
I might consider the route of books asanother thing to keep me occupied a bit more, and I watch series when I can.

Kinda depressing statement. Imma move to dorm soon, there's no single blindy on there and I love it. Honestly it's been hard Af before, but I have hopes. Maybe people get to see me better when I'm actually more around.

I hope the best for ya.
but what I am saying is the sad truth, as much as we hate it, but it seems there isn't no option due to lack of awareness and being forced into zones and stereotypes., regardless of what you do. Because you shouldn't come up and say, blindies are bad, they don't converse and they don't exert effort, while there're tougher issues out there that you want to hide/ignore.
