Can someone please help me with two sources?

I have two sources, era of knights and TK. Both have a similar yet bizarre bug.
I run the server, which seems a bit glitchy but runs. I open the client and attempt to create an account, but the client attempts to conect to the server that is no longer up instead of the new IP, in this case localhost. Can someone please help me figure out where this information is stored so I can fix it?
Also as a note, I have a the war source that does not do this, so I'm wondering if it indeed is some sort of info stored somewhere I must edit. Thank you.

Era of knights versions 4.9 and 5.0. I believe that5.0 is bugged in some way however.

EVM (a clone of constant battle or possibly an earlier fork, I can't count this as mine because it's on github)

The war, I got this one from someone on elten.
