So sometimes, my family thinks from, hey, why are you still playing on the dumb phone, and I'm, can I play my video game instead of you bothering me, and then my family says no, and then like, um, and then I say I'm in the middle of the game, and then like, I say, I'm not gonna stop, and then like, my sister is annoying, spoiled brat, and then like, um, like, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Don't touch my phone, and she touched my phone, and she threw it against the wall, and like, I was like, you stupid brat, wait till I catch you, and then like, she started running, and I, and I ran off after her, and then I slapped her, I didn't mean to slap her, but like, I slapped her really hard in the face, and then she started crying, even though she's 17, shut up, and then like, yes, she did.

You know, to talk a bit more clearly with a structure about situations which you guys kind of described as well, I suppose, the families, I'm sure it's not modern families, certain issues have been present for ages. But one of them being that families can be very toxic, you know, they can use, they often rely on emotions, they use emotion, blackmailing, some kind of threats. In my experience, they kind of use whatever you love, whatever you're passionate about against you. This, in my case, used to be my case. My laptop or my phone, which is kind of understandable, I suppose, because as a blind person, this was the source of my, you know, one of the main sources of my entertainment, education, connection with friends, especially when they were back in Poland, where I was already in England at the time. That's what they would do. And I think it's quite common. At the same time, I would like to perhaps point. A solution or a way that I kind of got out of it and I showed them, I kind of tempered their, you know, ideas, their habits towards me, the way they behave towards me. I would like to talk about that in the next post.

when i started becoming um an adult which was quite early because already at the age of kind of 16 17 um i would um stop you know being very emotional about certain things um before i admit that i would cry i would find it very difficult to deal with such um you know mental abuse emotional abuse but then as it kind of the time grew i realized that i have to get out of this if i don't you know um kind of let them if i let them continue if i don't stop them from you know limiting me or taking my stuff away or you know treating me in a certain way it will just continue and as i got older um you know i realized that i need to move forward you know it's not always going to be like this you come home you have your computer you know and that's it there will be time for education for a relationship perhaps for a for a job you know soon enough and i need to be independent that was actually not a thing that they kind of that wanted to take away from me you could say it was very uh radical either do it yourself we're not going to help you with anything or don't do it we're going to help you there was there was never anything in the middle and once again i'm starting to confess my feelings which took me away from the whole point of this post but let me perhaps elaborate in the next one because this was a bit of a you know groundwork so you can understand what i was kind of going through what most of us are going through and the situation so then we can kind of know how to deal with it

i told them straight i used um arguments which were very logical i showed them that actually i'm not gonna be here forever meaning i will move out i will go to college which i am in now boarding college they will not have even control of me or will not be able to be protective towards me so they might as well you know calm down and start being rational um that was one another one was that you know mistakes that i have made in the past or the way i behaved or behave doesn't necessarily reflect how i'm going to perform in the real world and how i'm going to settle down you know i'm going to learn from the mistakes i make so i would say that when i was 18 i made it clear that i want financial control because the government money which i am receiving every month or i was receiving back then um would always go to my mom um she didn't save up even a hundred pounds for me throughout all those years she thought that she was entitled to that money because she gave birth to a blind boy um i told her look um i'm going to go to college soon um i'm going to have to save up because no one saved up for me you have to give me this money otherwise i will have to be forced to contact the authority one way or another and you will be breaking the law that was quite effective

And I was also more open about the way I felt towards all those years that they have been treating me, you know, in one way or another, abusing me mentally, emotionally, psychologically, whatever. But you get the idea. So, what was interesting was that they didn't realize, they didn't fully realize, unless they were really good actors, how they made me feel. They thought that those are normal and natural methods of disciplining and raising a kid in general. Obviously, this is linked to the way that they have been raised. I can't say that my parents are from, you know, some rich aristocratic family. Rather the opposite. And , unfortunately, especially my mom, she, you know, I can't say she's the most well-off woman financially or otherwise, you know, having great role models in her life, which is not to say that she's not a wonderful woman because she is. But obviously, this kind of plays a part here. I would say that this has to... This has to be considered. But what I was kind of approaching is that they didn't realize how, you know, they made me feel, so I had to explain it to them. After that, things calmed down a bit, you know. They kind of finally understood, actually, I have my own voice. I have my own views and opinions. And I am indeed an adult. So, I did, you know, fight. I did use logic. I did use, you know, some threats regarding... Regarding the law and authority. Because sometimes that's what you have to do. But it worked. Sounds like a simple solution. But it's definitely practical and works. Take some time with it. Don't give up, you know. Any advice, you know, you can always contact people such as myself who have been through it. Remember that your future is at stake. And it's never worth giving up or, you know, having pointless arguments based on emotions. It's better to... If a... deal with things handle things logically or get help from someone who can do it better than us and that's the whole point I'm trying to make

Wow, little brothers can be annoying at times.

#15

Wow! I am so happy I have an older sister who minds her own business, and I am lucky that I have such supportive parents.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

Hey guys, what I'd say annoys me about my family the most is probably the fact that when they call me down to dinner and I say I'm coming, they're like, no you're not, you're doing something else. But some audio games, I'm like trying to pause over here, or like trying to exit a call, and they're like rushing me down like, sorry guys, I cannot run down the stairs in half a second. I would need ultrasonic powers to do that. Another thing that annoys me, so my dad, he's in the room next to me, like, well, that's where he sleeps. And every time it's like 12am, and I'm like on the phone, he tells me to keep it down, which I get it, but I, whatever. Anyway, yep, that's me. If I have more annoying things that I encounter, I will add another post.

I hate that too, some games you are just unable to pause and you should first find a good place to go off line.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.
