vaccines and your experiences

Hi everyone. So I just got my booster covid vaccine and After getting 3 shots by three different nurses, Some of them were very patient, others were in a big rush. When getting my vaccines, I like it when the nurses counts either to 3 or counts down from 3 to 0. Some were genttle, like my first one who's name is angelle, and she was the one that was patient with me. My second shot that I got was with this nurse named Sarah, and she really rushed with things. And the nurse today was a male nurse, which to be honest with you, I prefer female nurses who tend to be way more gentler. So let's have a discussion on here about our vaccines that we have had with covid but also in the past too, for example the normal flue shots and stuff. This is also the place to talk about your fears of needles.

I got my first vaccine on december 16. All went well, just one day of pain at the injection site.

I got my two vaccines and just felt some pain in my arm the day after. Other than that, I had no other problems compared with what some went true such as vomiting or being really sick from the vaccine.

Oh? Really? Did the nurse count when giving it to you? I know a lot of blind people like it when the nurse counts. That way we are not surprise.

Hello.
I had no problem and I have all the doses. Well, a little pain in the arm. But nothing else.
Instead my sister had a fever.
So IDK

I had the second dose of the covid vaccine, and since then I’ve been having balancing problems. The person that gave it, was in a hurry. It personally doesn’t matter to me if they count or not. As long as they tell me when they are going to do it. Glad it went well for the rest.

I find if they count thoh you know exactly when it's happening. And as long as the person giving it also tells you that the alcahol is going to be used. Comunication is extremely important to me.

I hate if they count. I hate if they treat me as a child, I'm damn 19, nearly 20, don't count for God's sake. IF hey say ok, you are getting it now, it's enough. Had no problems anyway.

I'm not a child, and I like it when they count. You don't have to be embarrassed. Even adults are scared of Needles. You make it sound like nurses count when giving it to you all the time.

Of course, I know that. I'm embarrassed in general when they treat me like a kid just because I'm blind. I don't need any special treatments just because I can't see the doctor's face or the needle. The only thing I always ask them to do is to warn me when they start. Don't count, just warn, something like hey, you'll get it, now. And when they say "now", they give it. Nothing special, and it works.

My experiences with vaccines are neutral. So I haven't big problems after vaccination.

I had my 3rd shot on december, just seen this threat now :)
Whaat? It's kind of new to me, I never heart that nurses are counting neither 0 to 3 neither 3 to 0 or anyhow. They're just saying when it's happening and when it's done :) that's all.
For me everything was normal just after 2nd shot I had a bit of temperature in the evening and half of next day, but 1 and 3rd shots was really good without any affects after.

Unfortunately corona isn’t something that you can easily escape. I’m also not quite sure if I should take the booster. But tha’ts another topic. For another day.
