Hi,

Years ago, I used to have Revo Uninstaller on my old XP computer. It was an incredible thing, and used to work well with screen reading software. Then I just decided to install it and realized that it was not at all accessible. So is there any way to make the app accessible, or any alternatives?

I'd say the best thing you could do is find out who made the application. If you can find out who made it, you could try to contact them.

Here's the old version 1.95. That one is accessible. The problem is around for some years now, and they told me they want to find a way to fix it in future updates when I wrote them some time ago. But they apparently haven't managed that yet. To disable automatic updating, you need to find the options button with object navigation. When you start revo uninstaller, press NVDA + numpad 2 or nvda + shift + up arrow, if you're using the laptop layout, to get the navigator out of the list box with the programs. Then, move to the next object with nvda + numpad 6 or nvda + shift + right arrow. NVDA should say tool bar. Enter that tool bar with NVDA + shift + down arrow or NVDA + numpad 8, and in tat tool bar, you should find the options button when you move to the next object with NVDA + shift + right arrow or NVDA + numpad 6. When you've found it, activate it with NVDA + enter. You already land in the correct section of the options to disable automatic updates. Just keep tabbing until you find it. I hope that helped.

Do not use the old version. It will break stuff. Its interesting that NVDA cannot handle Revo, Zhengdu does it well and I use it to this day

What does it break, for example? Maybe that is something that only happens to you. I don't have issues with the old version. Admittedly, I didn't really use ZDSR though, so I can't comment on that bit.

he uses old mechanism to detect files. Windows registry changed in recemt Windows version.

What do you mean by recent version? If it's a major update like Windows 10, then the best thing to look at would be whether this version supports it.

You can get Revo on ninite.com
Off the spinner, to the skinner, it chops off layers, now I'm thinner.

Ninite fetches the latest version of a program. So, if the latest version is inaccessible, Ninite will most likely have that version be installed.

You're better off just uninstalling things in control pannel.

why you are aktually reviving topics of 2021?
