I was thinking of many of the microsoft that the skype classic disappears. But it can still be used, it was said that it will be dead on November 1, but it can still be used.
How long can it work?

My experience that, dead of the Skype it can't be, because there are the older Skype 7 problems, whichs is they can working, so give Skype freeze, example, the Skype don't reply, etc

And how can I save the messages in Skype 8?

I heard somebody use it with JAWS. Seems that a lot of people I know don't want to try it just because the layout is different and they assume it's not accessible. It's fine.

There are JAWS scripts available. Google is your friend.

Doug Lee writes for the Windows 10 version, and the Electron one, or Skype 8. The link to his website, English, is

I'm sorry, I don't have the link to his page for Skype 8.

thespyde

That is what the Skype eight is called, but I don't know why it's called that.

If i remember correctly, Electron is either a programming language or it has something to doo with the UI.

i can still use skype 7 very easily, but i will say this, upgrade to skype 8, get used to it so that when microsoft finally pulls the plug on skype 7 completely you will know how to use the app easily, so don't wait until the app is really dead before at least learning it, because if you just go meh microsoft won't pull the plug yet and you keep on thinking that and one day, boom, ya can't use it and you know nothing about skype 8, it's not a good position to be in

Oh, I do mean.

Switching of this skype version is bad decision for this corporation and maybe Microsoft know it.

One of the most annoying things to me about Skype for Win 10, the UWP version, is that there don't seem to be any hotkeys, or none that are global, that is, working outside the Skype window. I have found that, for instance, answering a call in this app can be frustrating, especially the first time you do it, as there's a tutorial that pops up and I could not, for the life of me, close that tutorial. There are other annoyances but I won't go into them here.

Suffice it to say, I hope they continue improving the overall app, all versions Microsoft chooses to allow to work, and that it will eventually get back to being a good app. I wish I could say it is now a good one, but so much has to be done before I can say that with a clear conscience.

For me, the desktop edition of Skype 8's fairly decent;
Just consider it a glorified web page.
When you view profiles or go into calls, the main Skype trims out the rest of the stuff to show the call and its features.
It isn't that bad; You just have to get to used to the condept of a web page changing dynamically under the top secion of the interface.

I have the UWP version for Win 10, so I don't know if mine has the web page thing, and I have no trouble with the interface except when it comes to answering calls, as I said before.
