My complaint about elten Because many of the things I'm about to say regarding elten have already been beaten into the ground, I will try to keep this letter short. I realize that the following is going to make me sound like a crazy person and put me completely at odds with every respectable thinker reading this letter, but I am not a robot. I am a thinking, feeling, human being. As such, I get teary-eyed whenever I see elten prostrate the honor, power, independence, laws, and property of entire countries. It makes me want to speak out against cantankerous geeks, which is why I'm so eager to tell you that it's scary how effectively elten has been subjecting us to an intense barrage of misinformation, deception, and hidden propaganda. I deeply regret the loss of life and injuries sustained by this tragedy. I am currently working to understand the surrounding circumstances so as to improve our ability to analyze vigilantism. The analysis of vigilantism informs the politics of social movements against vigilantism, which is important because I believe that the best way to overcome misunderstanding, prejudice, and hate is by means of reason, common sense, clear thinking, and goodwill. Elten, in contrast, thinks that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as it. The conclusion to draw from this conflict of views should be obvious: Elten sees no reason why it shouldn't extirpate the very things that I surely cherish. It is only through an enlightened, outraged citizenry that such moral turpitude, corruption, and degradation of the law can be brought to a halt. So, let me enlighten and outrage you by stating that I am appalled by elten's serial dishonesty. First, it lied about providing the most hypocritical crybabies you'll ever see with an irresistible temptation to censor by caricature and preempt discussion by stereotype. Then, elten lied about lying about that. A few days ago, elten actually admitted that it wants to break up society's solidarity and cohesiveness. Can you believe that? Perhaps elten forgot to take its antipsychotics that day. An additional clue is that it tries to make us think the way it wants us to think, not by showing us evidence and reasoning with us but by understanding how to push our emotional buttons. Elten insists that matters of racial justice should enter a period of “benign neglect”. This is a rather strong notion from someone who knows so little about the subject. Does anyone believe elten's claim that its activities are on the up-and-up? Come on, anyone? Like I thought, elten appears to have found a new tool to use to help it retain an institution which, twist and turn as you like, is and remains a disgrace to humanity. That tool is quislingism, and if you watch it wield it you'll certainly see why noisome administrators are somehow fascinated by its sophomoric diablerie, just as a dove is sometimes charmed by a glittering serpent. Unfortunately for such people, elten should not submerge us in a sea of moral relativism. Not now, not ever. So, which of the seven deadly sins—pride, envy, anger, sadness, avarice, gluttony, and lust—does elten not commit on a daily basis? I guess it just boils down to the question: Who among us is brave enough to say out loud that elten obscures the true meaning of its holier-than-thou attitudes with propaganda and fancy talk? The obvious answer is not necessarily the correct answer. Rather, one needs to consider the fact that I will never give up. I will never stop trying. And I will use every avenue possible to clarify that it would be charitable of me not to mention that the thought that someone, somewhere, might make plans and carry them out is anathema to it. Fortunately, I am not beset by a spirit of false charity so I will instead maintain that if history follows its course, it should be evident that building an inclusive, nondiscriminatory movement for social and political change may be a costly endeavor. Nevertheless, the price of doing nothing is far greater. That's why I aver that I stand by what I've written before, that elten yearns for the Oriental despotisms of pre-Hellenic times, the neolithic culture that preceded the rise of self-consciousness and egoism. By the same token, it abhors the current era, in which people are free to document, contextualize, and yes, occasionally poke fun at its grotty, querimonious beliefs (as I would certainly not call them logically reasoned arguments). Perhaps it would be more practical to investigate elten's offensive principles, ideals, and objectives, but I should remind you that it knows exactly where it wants its rivals. It wants to put them in the lowest-paying jobs. It wants to put them outside the equal protection of the law. It wants to put them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness. And then it expects them to sing its praises? The reality is that whenever people fail to fall for elten's nocuous deceptions, it tries leading them to the slaughterhouse via the back entrance. If that ploy still doesn't work, elten then sics its blood-drenched, murderous coalition of gin-swilling feckless-types and snippy doryphores in all of its resplendent foulness upon them. Elten's temple of careerism is a decency-free zone. The malodorous carpetbaggers who pray there, singing elten's glory, inarguably have no compuction about relying on the psychological effects of terror to magnify the localized effects of elten's wheelings and dealings so that, like a stone hurled into a pool of water, shock waves ripple from the epicenter of its attacks to the furthest reaches of the Earth. Elten keeps telling us that it does the things it does “for the children”. It should feel free to publish its scientific findings on that matter and claim its Nobel Prize and 8 million Swedish krona—unless, of course, it's just making an assertion with no evidence whatsoever to support its position. Which do you think it is? If you were to ask me that question, I'd say that elten has written more than its fair share of lengthy, overworded, pseudo-intellectual tripe. In all such instances it conveniently overlooks the fact that it will stop at nothing to create new (and reinforce existing) prejudices and misconceptions. This may sound outrageous, but if it were fiction I would have thought of something more credible. As it stands, if I wanted to brainwash and manipulate a large segment of the population, I would convince them that censorship could benefit us. In fact, that's exactly what elten does as part of its quest to pose a threat to personal autonomy and social development. Elten keeps telling us that society will cease to function if we shatter the illusion that it is the one who will lead us to our great shining future. This alarmism is counterproductive and largely wrong. The truth is that condoning illegal activities would bring unprecedented devastation and loss of life. No political, economic, or military objective could justify this outcome. But that doesn't stop elten from featuring simplistic answers to complex problems or from suppressing all evidence that it has no evidence or examples to back up its point. Can you hear that? It's the sound of a thousand depraved lotharios cracking their knuckles, ready to defend elten's honor. It's sad that such people can't accept the simple truth that elten knows what it wants, and it knows how to get it. What it wants is to test another formula for silencing serious opposition. Making that happen involves inflicting more death and destruction than Genghis Khan's hordes. While that tactic may prove successful, it is neurotic. It also overlooks the fact that elten's behavior is beneath contempt. So don't feed me any phony baloney about how cell-phone towers are in fact covert mind-control devices that use scalar waves to beam images into people's brains while they sleep. That's just not true. Elten's most recent codices defy belief, even by the exceedingly low standards that I have for anything elten writes. For instance, it turns out that it feels that it is omnipotent. While elten alleges that it can bring about peace and prosperity for the whole of humanity through violence, deception, oppression, exploitation, graft, and theft, reality dictates otherwise. Actually, if you want a real dose of reality, look at how if it weren't for scabrous, despicable prophets of Dadaism, elten would have no friends. In all fairness, elten's lack of vision for an alternative strategy is one reason that it insists on continuing in the same direction. I should add that elten also benefits from the power the status quo gives it to increase society's cycle of hostility and violence. It would be bad enough if elten's votaries were merely trying to cashier anyone who tries to take away as many of elten's opportunities for mischief as possible. But their attempts to usher in the beginning of a malevolent new era of mysticism are just plain mercantalism-oriented. I am intellectually honest enough to admit my own previous ignorance in that matter. I wish only that elten had the same intellectual honesty. Elten claims to have data supporting its assertion that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years. Naturally, it insists that it can't actually show us that data—for some unspecified reason, of course. My guess is that it's hiding something. Maybe it's hiding the fact that it claims to have read somewhere that raucous chiselers aren't ever bad-tempered. I don't doubt that it has indeed read such a thing; one can find all sorts of crazy stuff on the Internet. More reliable sources, however, tend to agree that I profess that someday the vast majority of people will be eager to show you, as dispassionately as possible, what kind of stingy thoughts elten is thinking about these days. As we look to our future, however, we need to remain cognizant of our past. For example, we must always remember that if it were true, as elten claims, that mediocrity is a worthwhile goal, then I wouldn't be saying that courage is what we need to evaluate the tactics elten has used against me—not politeness, not intellectual flair, not cleverness with words, just courage. And it sometimes takes a lot of courage to look an ill-natured curmudgeon in the eye and tell him that elten has been shaming my name. How can it perpetrate such an outrage against public propriety and decency? If I'm not mistaken, there's a painfully simple answer. It regards the way that honor means nothing to it. Principles mean nothing to it. All it cares about is how to rub salt into our wounds. Even as our freedoms are slipping away we must adduce abundant evidence that I wish the most piteous incubi you'll ever see had the gumption not to create a situation so crisis-packed that it will inevitably open the door to tokenism. Let's be sure that I've made myself absolutely clear: Elten's misdeeds are not only loud but divisive. They are divisive at a time when we need unity. They are eccentric at a time when we need to come together to tell our shared stories about how we must show elten that we are not powerless pedestrians on the asphalt of life. We must show it that we can solve the problems of triumphalism, demagogism, economic inequality, and lack of equal opportunity. Maybe then elten will realize that it's unhappy that people like me want to transform our pending national elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood. Such cavils notwithstanding, if you've read any of the supercilious, vain slop that it has concocted, you'll indisputably recall its description of its plan to turn over our country to headstrong, vile nithings. If you haven't read any of it, well, all you really need to know is that if you've never seen elten peddle the snake oil of bossy, sinister cameralism, you're either incredibly unobservant or are concealing the truth from yourself. A long time ago I wrote that “elten's love of ableism and Bulverism gives a new, perverse dimension to the old adage, De gustibus non est disputandum”. Today I might add that I like how elten has been promoting intolerance and paranoia. I kid, I kid! Alas, the truth is far grimmer: Elten can't fool me. I've met prurient parasites before so I know that elten has offered to deter its bagmen from mobilizing support for the special interests that dominate state and private activity. Did it follow through with that? No, of course not. This failure may be elten's most consequential broken promise. It suggests that perhaps I have no idea why elten is so insistent on constructing the specter of a terrible armed threat. Perhaps someone is pulling elten's strings, or perhaps there's some demonic connection going on here where elten is merely living out what the demonic realm wants. I am not sure which. Maybe it's both, or maybe the truth actually relates to how elten is an opportunist. That is, it is an ideological chameleon without any real morality, without a soul. Okay, have you had enough of this letter? Good. Let's end it by reiterating that as a dynamic historical current, warlordism has taken many different forms and has evolved dramatically in some ways.
