Ok, let's see how speech queuing behaves.

#3

Yes! It works!

#4

But I hear that ding sound coming from Elten. Does this show an error? Running NVDA 2019.2.1.

#5

Ok, testing if the dinging still occurs after a pc restart.

#6

Yes, it does. I wonder what it stands for.

#7

If you're wondering about that beep in the key of A Natural,

I think tht's more for testing purposes to make sure the add on is working. I guess it will be removed once elten's next big update is officially released.

Running said Elten add on with NVDA latest Alpha, it's working wonderfuly!

No crashes either, oh and no bouncy ball thingy at the start!

Yeh everything seems to work correctly now. No beeping sounds when starting and closing Elten. So it's all good and ready for the official update. The only problem is people not using the alpha version of NVDA may experience some problems. Things will work better for them when the first beta version of NVDA 2019.3 will come out. And now one small test of which I will report about in the following post.

#9

Confirming messages are not cut off any longer.

#10 Edited

No, I mean a ding sound which plays, which in the case of my windows xp theme I'm using, is a g5 natural. It's the same sound as when an item in a list is new, only now that it stands for something else, but I don't know for what. For example, when I send a post and get the confirmation message, it plays.

#11

Let's see if the alpha version also causes Elten to play a ding sound.

#12

Yes, it also plays in that version. O and sleep mode didn't turn on automatically this time.

#13

Ah now it worked.

#14

And the dinging is gone as well! But why do I get it in 2019.2.1?

#15 Edited

I just wanted to vote in a poll and got the following error when I pressed enter on "vote":
Script 'GEM_JSON' line 657: JSON::ParserError occurred.

source is not valid JSON!

I hope there will be a version of Elten without the add-on, or at least a way to skip its installation.

Yes, there will be obviously, but NVDA will not be working without it.

I'm not using an add-on presently and I have no problem. I'm also not using any beta at the moment, waiting for compatible upgrades and such.
