So, what exactly does this fix in the NVDA-addon? And could you please update the translation in future releases? I corrected some mistakes. O I see that the hotkey error has been fixed, but now, I can't use it. I'll change it.
Ok, I can say this. I just restarted Elten, and it was very unresponsive. Also, the error with the shortkey returned. But after skipping back and forth between the items, I got the following error: # ["Section000:41:in `call'", "Section000:41:in `init'", "Section000:38:in `loop'", "Section000:58:in `init'", "Section000:29:in `initialize'", "Section000:29:in `new'", "Section000:29:in `init'", "Section000:184:in `write'", "Section000:166:in `initialize'", "Section000:166:in `new'", "Section000:166:in `write'", "Section000:96:in `speak'", "Section000:94:in `initialize'", "Section000:94:in `new'", "Section000:94:in `speak'", "Section073:160:in `speech'", "Section074:1094:in `focus'", "Section074:833:in `initialize'", "Section062:54:in `new'", "Section062:54:in `help'", "Section062:32:in `main'", "Section062:14:in `loop'", "Section062:51:in `main'", "Section078:60", "Section078:56:in `loop'", "Section078:64"]
After this, Elten returned to its amazing responsiveness I know it for, and the shortkey error disappeared, but in both cases, meaning when the shortkey error is present and when it isn't, I can't use the hotkey to access the changelog quickly. I just changed that hotkey, I guess that's the most efficient way to fix this. Other than that, all works fine.
So, I try typing at a constant rate, while the Elten NVDA ad on is being used. For some reason though wih beta 14, it's very sluggish, and I keep mising typed characters.
I have sadly gotten the same error a few times, that was mentioned earlier
I don't know why this beta update was needed for. As soon as I installed it and I started Elten, I could not even type in my pincode; and once the add on was installed, why does this question always come back each time you start Elten, "Elten detected that NVDA does not support the NVDA Elten support add on". I thought, once the add on is installed into the NVDA screen reader, this question should not come up any longer.
This question always comes back if something in the addon changed. If you reinstalled it though after downloading beta 14 and this question still shows up, I don't know.
Just a question. Is the adon even neaded? I used another beta laptop and it worked without me needing to get the adon installed, and it was still speaking through nvda. Also, why do you use db? That stops us from using auto update.
Alpha NVDA Snapshop branch has ben installed, Elten NVDA Add On has been installed.
Um, if this add on was meant for Elten working with NVDA and its supported braille displays, that's a good thing. For us keyboard users, it does more harm than good, and I am still having typing errors. Plus, why is when I hit the space bar, its sound is played twice? Plus, said spacebar most of the time doesn't make spaces while the Elten add on is running.
Right, uninstalling Elten add on, keeping NVDA Alpha Snapshot.
I'll try again with said add on, when a new Elten beta arrives.
