Beta has now been installed. Cool that NVDA now has an add on for this program. In addition, the program detected that I was running said screen reader. No crashes/bugs here on my end as of this moment.
I don't know; I haven't tried it yet but I will do now. The reason why I didn't is the following: Someone from Elten had already written a script for NVDA and I'm still using this one but I will now remove it and try the new script.
Well, as far as I can figure out, the purpose of this beta version is to put NVDA to sleep when you are using Elten; but things are still not working propperly!
NVDA script for Elten doesn't work propperly. For instance: When I press the f10 key to check if there is something new, it says, "Press the Alt key to open the menu"" instead of "There is nothing new".
It seems that the NVDA add on currently is muting "pop up" messages by accident. For example, if ya set a welcome message to something, the message is partly heard, though then it interupts itself with "The Alt Key Opens A Menu" thing.
One more bug to report, before the night is over, where it's 11 PM in Colorado and 7AM in Poland (as of this post)
I found out while the using NVDA with the Elten Add On running, typing text for a long period of time (for example like "2" minutes with out stopping), Elten will freeze, and then ya get the following error message:
RGSS Player is not responding If you close the program, you might lose information.
And then ya have the options to "Close The Program" or "Wait For The Program To Respond", which it never does.
Thus for now, I shall switch to SAPI in the mean time. (Until the next beta update arrives anyway...) Though it may be an "NVDA Add On" problem most likely as well.
Ok, I can say this. It did ask for the installation using my translated German prompt (very nice), but yes, I got a few beeps while installation was going, and also just now, don't know what they're for. Anyway yes, when you press f10, the first message about nothing new gets cancelled out. Maybe this is something speech refactor in nvda 2019.3 and python 3 will fix?
