Hi people, this thread is about electronic translators, about the ones you like the most and other ones you know. I like google the most, because nowadays the translations, at least from German to English and vice versa, are pretty intelligible. Microsoft is ok, but still not as good as google. And there are sure other ones out there I don't know, but google has become my primary translation service. So, that's it for me, what do you think?
Microsoft no longer works here. My Twitter client, Chicken Nugget, uses it despite the fact the developer said he fixed it. I have reported the bug several times but still, ... Yeah, strange bug. It works when I do the translation in the main window but not when I do it with the window hidden.
Anyway, I wish some other translation thing could be used, somehow.
I use addon of the NVDA quick translator not often, but since this use the Microsoft Translator engine the instead of servers of the Google Translator, it isn't good so. I not heard about the deepl.com .
I still recommend Google Chrome translation. I tried it with the Elten Web site and it's just wonderful. It translates the entire Web site. What it does is, I think, when you press enter on a link of the Web site is, it first translates it before it appears; from Polish into English. Microsoft Edge is not bad but you have to go to the translation option each time you press enter on a link of the Elten Web site which is not the case with Google Chrome.
The Google Chrome translator isn't accessible me, because I can't see the translate butt and original text/webpage. Translator of The Microsoft is a catastrophe
That's true. You don't see a translation button with Google Chrome. But sometimes, a message appears that you can press a certain key combination in case you go on a Web Site that is not in your native language. For the English version of Google Chrome, the key combination is, Alt plus shift plus A.
Hmm, deepl? Interesting! They claim they are better than google translate, but I wouldn't necessarily say that. The translation quality is good, yes, but I'd say they and google are on the same level.
How about Yandex Translator? I couldn't use its mobile app on my iPhone. Plus, the translation quality is not as good as that of Google. And the NVDA add-on didn't work for me either.
What about iTranslater. It's amazing and best of all, it's completely accesible. I'm not sure if there is a computer version but I know there is a mobile app.
