The most important changes for developers in the Programs API, in general. Further details are available in the commit history, and a new MCP release is coming soon.
* user_state: Programs can use the same state storage API as drafts. This can be used to store caches, short text data, drafts from text fields, etc. Note that collections are queued and have size limits. Older entries may be removed, expire, or be cleared via Elten's settings. This API is therefore intended for temporary data rather than permanent storage (use application tables for that). * Low-latency audio effects mode, designed with games in mind, where HRTF and other effects need to be processed almost instantly. The benefits will become even more noticeable after the migration to Lindar. * Extended HRTF support for defining entire scenes, including objects, their materials, sound absorption by air, and reflections from walls and other objects. * Simplified playback of sounds with effects applied. This doesn't introduce any new capabilities, but saves quite a few lines of code. * Notification expiry options, allowing senders to expire sent notifications and recipients to expire them based on defined recurring condition that is checked every X minutes. * Simplified sending of local notifications. This has been possible for a long time, but previously required a rather roundabout approach.
As a reminder, please make sure to declare 3.0.5 as the required API version in any programs that use these new features.
