Whenever I use elten with nvda, it does this weird ringing, like it constantly detects errors. Even though I have nvda add-on installed, it always asks me to reinstall it. Why is it?
Nothing of it happens if I use sapi.
I'm using the latest rc version of elten, but had the same issue with elten2
that explains the error arctic posted in that-bug reports thread in elten development... Well, I don't know, but, is it constantly playing both elten and NVDA error tones?

It's weird that not everyone can reproduce it. Maybe try uninstalling the addon completely and then installing it again.
The ringing only happens after the add-on is installed. Reinstallation with complete uninstallation prior to reinstallation doesn't work. The only solution is to disable or completely remove the nvda.
By me, only elten error sounds play.
Guys, why don't you develop speech feedback in Elten via Prism? It is a way more effective way to integrate screen readers than tolk and nvda controller client, and it will also enable elten to work with jaws.
