After reading this post of yours, my point still stands. People must be treated as equals because if you don't people will want exceptions for all kinds of things. This is just a dynamic you don't want as a mod or admin. That is frm my experience in administering not here, but WA groups and discord servers. It is though possible that you made other experiences so this is probably a question of the moderation aproach, not a question that can objectively be answered.
Perhaps the only thing I can agree with regarding the method used in the Polish community is that, as far as I know, everything is genuinely logged there. They log who was warned, banned, etc., and when. In the English community, if I remember correctly, the last time this happened was when Djsenter, Daszekmdn, and I were the moderators. If you kept it up after that, then I apologize, but I don't remember it because it was so insignificant and unsystematic. This is one of the cornerstones of transparency and clarity. If we want users to easily see who was warned or possibly banned and when, they need to be informed about it. Not just in a random topic. But in the designated place for it. And then there's no need to wait for weeks for the community to report one and the same person at least a hundred times just so the moderators wake up and finally ban them; instead, they can be banned with a clear conscience if the situation requires it. However, I don't necessarily agree with the immediate deletion of posts. It might work in the Polish community to hide all evidence, but to me, this looks more like a dictatorship than a working, functional community. By the way, the reason there is peace is that most of the English-speaking users have preferred to just leave. If we look at who is online at any given moment of the day, the number of users usually hovers between 70 and 80, and it tends to drop in the evening. Out of these 70-80 users, at least 55-60 are usually Polish, and the remaining 10-15 belong to either the German or the English community. Moreover, I'd venture to say that the Germans might even be more active. We also have a few Russians and maybe one or two Ukrainians, but that's practically it. Someone should take a look around the platform from time to time, and then maybe the communities wouldn't be so neglected. Regarding bans, unfortunately, there are really few good solutions. Trolls will keep trolling even if they are globally banned. And no, a global ban doesn't mean that from then on they will get bored and not come back. The Polish ones might, but there it's probably more of the smaller, younger kids behaving this way. Unfortunately, in the English-speaking blind community fundamentally, there are also many adults whose favorite pastime is either online bullying or pedophilia. We have both here on Elten, yet no one deals with them. I'd like to ask, for example, what constructive remark has Ferrumite666 made since his appearance on Elten, other than completely trolling the platform? Which, by the way, I somewhat understand, because there really isn't much to seriously interact with. As for Manny, obviously everyone knows what he spends his time doing; this is common knowledge even for those who have otherwise never been members of the communities where he hung around. It's remarkable that admins receive multiple pieces of evidence from certain users, but in the name of transparency, the average user never finds out about this evidence; however, they do find out when the user against whom evidence was collected by some people (because we don't even know who, naturally also in the name of transparency) is banned as a result. By that logic, a few trumped-up charges could be written against any of us if someone just doesn't like that person. And the person you send them to decides alone: fine, ban. Because they don't want to participate in the situation itself, they don't want to assess the situation, but hitting the ban button is always convenient.

Regarding the posts from Sediment in the Suno thread, I would like to reiterate that it didn't take a month for me to ban him because of moderation paralysis. It was a result of me getting a new job, going off to a workshop for a week, wrapping up my college classes, plus general fatigue and there being only one of me. I didn't take that long because I was debating on whether or not it was a good thing or no, I took that long because it wasn't an active consideration to me at the time.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.
You neglect every solution and argument we present; what propo do you have, then? And I'll repeat two questions already put here: If you consider Elten.Link so badly administered and unnecesary for International community, why wouldn't you simply uninstall it so as not to bother with all that staff you find disgusting etc? And if you find the way EC is moderated so inefficient, why didn't you keep your post or, at least, became a mod in other team? As for irresponsible and childish kids, who are the only ones making mess in PC, you are also wrong. You do not know our community and you make conclusions based on your own theories. Btw, that is why I do not involve much in EC - I do not know you, guys, your preferences, relationships etc and I personally do not have time to do so, so I do not want to make any unnecessary mess. :) I regret to say that in Polish case the most issues were with adults. :( And, first and foremost, why this discussion was evoked in the thread concerning technical changes in Elten's PC and mobile clients? :D -- (ArcticMoon): Perhaps the only thing I can agree with regarding the method used in the Polish community is that, as far as I know, everything is genuinely logged there. The moderation logs are quite consistent, how ever one bad thing is that we can not link to topics here as it's possible in other places. The only bad thing I can say about the current EC admin team is that our communication is not always idial and the fact that we are not equally active, but those are issues that will sort out over time.
Last year I wasn't even trying tostart shit, and I had reasons for giving warnings, because people had the not so bright idea to turn the forums into a chaotic mess.
@57, kindly stop attempting to derail this thread. This is not the place for you to campaign for your past actions. If you want to attempt promoting revisionist history, make another thread to do so.

This response doesn't change a single bit about you derailing the thread. This is not about your past moderation but about elten status and the current situation. I could go now and revisit everything tha went down in 2025 and why I am not on your side here, but i won't simple because this is not the topics subject. -- (alchappers): Attempting to derail this thread? Excuse me, but you are hardly active and people seem to wanna test you and the other admins limits, so don't go accusing me of quote unquote attempting to derail the thread thank you very much. -- (Sir-Charlie): @57, kindly stop attempting to derail this thread. There are some people who, in this thread, sometimes say things that is of topic. You are constantly trying to talk about how unfair it was that you were demoted and the community was reformed. See the difference?
now back to the elten posts... OK, so the updates have defenetly been improved. Now we have transcriptions on audio posts too in case someone doesn't want to listen to audio posts. But sometimes the transcriptions can flip to another language even with music in the audio and it's helarious xd
Now delete this topic. Delete all Alchapper's posts, delete all offtopic, delete everything. That's the way the Polish community will be satisfied, let's make them happy.

All I'm going to say, through all the shot-fireing and bashing, I'm quite excited for elten 3.0. But I will say that I don't even try to take part in most of the blind communities bs. I'm just here, on the sidelines. The only thing I kare about witch is my corner of elten, witch is my blog, the blazy forums, and mainly that's it, all though I do check this forum and the english community archive from time to time. I just ignore the stuff that goes on, because at this point I don't kare. I know that may sound a bit harsh, so sorry if I'm comeing off that way, but at this point I don't kare, I'm just mainly here as most of my friends are here that I know, like George, Alex, and some others. Oh, and Jake way white even though I've not seen him interact in any threads on here much. I could go on, but I feel I've said enough, so I'm just ending it here.
Let the stars be your guide. Let your mind just relax. And when in doubt, meditate.
MODERATION! I have created a new thread in the Administration Feedback Forum to bring up all your issues with the moderation of Elten English. Please feel free to discuss all of your issues with your Administration team there. In keeping with the advice proffered in this thread, any post which deals with that topic rather than the original thread's objectives will be deleted. I have also gone ahead and archived all of the posts criticising the staff team, aside for the ones where Karmien and I defend it. Those posts have been moved to a private forum, visible only to the Staff of Elten English. Or maybe I deleted them. Who knows? If the thread continues to be significantly derailed, based on the advice given, I will be closing the thread. Thank you.

This is the first time I actually like your irony. :D

I just wanted to remind you that the goal of this thread was to discuss the overal Elten development and doing, rather than moderation of English Community.

Speaking of which, I tried the mac version yesterday and bro this is so interesting to use it like on windows now. Only thing is that I can't grab any program to install and voiceover speaks the elten window with a polish voice lol.
