Your thoughts on your real name.

Well, maybe most of you know that I'm from Hungary and in this country my name is pretty common. It's very popular among people in this country. Well, many of you know that I'm called Nicolette and I pronounced this name incorrectly on purpose now because many of you say Nicolette, but in Hungary we say Nicolette with the stress falling on the first syllable, like Nicolette. And well, I like my name. There are more horrible names out there in my country, but maybe you know about the fact that there are a lot of countries in which there's a list of names you can give to a child when they are born. And Hungary is one of those countries when you have to choose from a list. There's a very huge list of names you can give to a child when they are born. There's a huge list and you can't give anything you want, but only names from that list. So, we usually check what names are available because new names are accepted each year, as far as I know, each year. But if there are some Hungarians out there, correct me, please, if I'm not right. But as far as I know, there... We get accepted every year and there are very strange names which get accepted for some reason. But yeah, I like my name. I wouldn't say that it's the best name ever given to a child, but, you know, well, I'm fine with it. And I like the fact that it has a very good rhythm because my first name is Til. And we say the first, like my last name is Til and my first name is Nicolette. And I made this mistake because in Hungary it's reversed. So your last name, your family name is the first one, you say, and your given name, your like first name, which would be your first name in English, that's your last name. And anyway, a fun fact that in Hungarian you say Keresnev, which is like cross. Cross name, cross is referring to religion. And it's a fun fact of some kind. And that's why I made this mistake. Because yeah, we say it reversed. As far as I know, just like they do in Japan, and in some other countries. And if I say Til Nicolette, it has a very good rhythm. I like the rhythm. I like the rhythm of this name and how it sounds. It's very cool. Yeah, so with some fun facts about Hungarian naming and with some strange things. Yeah, this is me in a nutshell. I like my own name. Yeah.

And for Ferre, I'm not sure if I can pronounce your name, but I will try nevertheless. If I have to roll my R, it would sound like something like Ferre, Ferre or something, or Ferre, I don't know, but I tried. I heard it being pronounced in one of the topics, I don't know, maybe in one for Dutch learners, I'm not sure. And there they said something like Ferre, but if I have to roll my R, then it should be like R, if I have to roll it, then it's like R, so it should be like Ferre. Or maybe that one is the right version, which maybe Starchild said in the Dutch learning topic, like Ferre, I don't know, but I tried.

my name is uh dominic as most of you probably already know i i think my name is pretty cool and unique because i mean as far as i know i don't like some other people i know have this name including the second kid named dominic in my school um who is shorter than me um so there are only two people in my school named dominic me and another one and like i i guess mine originated from latin origin um but it's i think it's also a common name in poland too because like my parents are polish and yeah oh so i think my name is i like how it is like not long not short but like just right and i like how it's like a little bit unique

My name is George, and I like my name. It reminds me of Curious George and George Washington. And sometimes people, like my family and some friends, sometimes like to mess around my name in a good way sometimes. Like one person called me Curious George. And sometimes one person called me Georgie. And one person made a rhyme of Georgie, Porgy, putting them pie. And kind of made me laugh when some people bring up that rhyme. Yeah, I like it.

hello everyone so I've been wanting to start this thread with an audio post but I didn't do it because of some reasons anyways first of all I just wanted to comment on something which is quite unrelated and when we talk about a voice change about for example Dominic yeah his voice is quite changed quite a lot and I remember hearing his voice like maybe yeah maybe less than a year ago here on Elton on some forums and before that I don't remember where we met and I don't remember was it on TT or in the game SPYW I seriously forgot but anyways his voice was was high pitched yeah a lot more high pitched than it is now and yeah it also happened before that somebody on TT I remember maybe two weeks three weeks before I heard his voice it sounds like a high pitch then high pitched then all of the sudden it significantly changed and became a lot deeper and deeper and my voice for example didn't didn't change until I got maybe 17 18 something when I was 13 and 14 it was a lot higher pitched more i mean it was a lot higher pitched than it is right now thankfully i wasn't using any kind of software which can show my audio online back then anyways sorry i just wanted to explain some things about my name since it's an arabic name and yeah my last name is very much it contains an arabic letter at first which is quite hard to pronounce for for non-arabic speakers so it could be hard to say except they could they could use a but the rest of this is the same i wanted to talk more about about my first name so my first name is in arabic we say sharifuddin and the first part is sharif and the second is addin so most people here call me just sharif in my family or outside outside some people call me sharifuddin by the full like the composition of my name and in english it's the my tts when i write it with sh sh sorry uh it says it like olive and i personally don't like this kind of pronunciation much even though some people use it even here not with the English R of course but with the Arabic R and then if you spell it with CH as it's like it is spelled in French it's in English it says it like Cherif which is yeah not right it's completely not right and in French it says it like Cherif because CH is the same has almost the same pronunciation CH in French is like SH in English so is that sound and then when we talk about how people call me in some cases some people call me like Ashraf which is close to my name but it is not the same and some people call me Cherif but it's also close but many a lot of people here call me by different names I don't know why maybe because my name they find it hard to say or yeah some people just do it randomly I used to hate this thing a lot before but now I'm just not so I don't care that much so yeah people can call me whatever they want to especially the name Cherif I used to hate it because it's a name for like very old people and I feel like an uncle or a grandpa when people call me by it but now I just laugh and pass so yeah I think that's all I wanted to say and yeah okay the last thing I just remembered as the Sir Charlie's post in my TTS reads your name when you spell it like the the correct way you spell it it reads it like Jaden and sometimes it reads it like when you change the spelling or when people change its spelling it reads it like Jadon or Jaden or something like that these are the pronunciation which pronunciations which I have in my head right now I think that's all as for the Dutch name I really don't want to try just so that I don't mess it up and become like yeah and so yeah I really don't like to try names which I'm not sure how to pronounce because if I pronounce it wrong it might make the that person offended or yeah that's all I think it was quite of a long post which is not usually what I do but yeah the all of these I wanted to talk about before and now I got the time to to make an audio post and I did it so take care all and stay safe and thank you for listening
