Dear users, I'm pleased to announce that the beta version of Eltenger for iOS is now publicly available. Let me make this clear from the start - there are known bugs, quite a few of them in fact, so the word beta is very much intentional here. As I've mentioned before many times, Eltenger currently serves only for exchanging private messages. Of course, I plan to expand it with more features in the future, but private messaging — being Elten's most popular function — was the natural place to begin. These days I don't have as much time as I used to, and the development of Elten has slowed considerably. I must admit that this slowdown is precisely what led me to make the app publicly available at this stage. It's a fair amount of code and a genuinely useful tool, and it would be a shame to keep it hidden away. In the past, I would have waited until it reached a much more stable stage, but if that were to take a year or more, there really wouldn't be much point. So, I warmly invite you to test it. Please feel free to report any bugs you find — I'm aware of many myself, but perhaps new ones will appear, or your reports will help trace the cause of existing issues. :) And to answer the inevitable question: yes, an Android version is also planned — it will arrive in due course.
I noticed that as well, and also that the text is very small and for those who may be low vision, thus not totally blind, won't be able to use it effectively unless they use VoiceOver, and I feel this should be as inclusive as possible, so that if people who primarily use IOS's large text and zoom features, they can have a better experience. I've mentioned elsewhere that I would like the app to respect dark mode settings, I'm not the only one who's brought this up, but this is another thing that I hope can get sorted.
I'm completely blind, so styling is somewhat problematic for me, but if you can make exact list of visual issues, with detailed suggestions what to change, I will happily address them. ;)

OK, my vision is limited in the sense that all I can properly make out is things that have contrast, so what I will do is when I get the chance I will give the testflite link to my girlfriend Chloe, who's username on here is @ctc_tootychloe and as she is sighted she will be able to help out with styling suggestions, as she is passionate about things being inclusive for not just those who use screen readers but text sizes as well.
OK so I can't even use Eltenger properly as its doing this weird crap, I've attached an audio of a screen recording I did to demonstrate what the hell is happening, and sorry if you hear a TeamTalk sound in the background, I accidentally left my other device on a server lmfao.
That was when I copied the notification text with Voiceover to show what it was doing, audio messages are bugged out and actually reading message threads is borken also, so yeah I hope there's a new build coming soon to fix this.
Okay. Sorry, never mind rofl. -- (alchappers): That was when I copied the notification text with Voiceover to show what it was doing, audio messages are bugged out and actually reading message threads is borken also, so yeah I hope there's a new build coming soon to fix this.

hey, I think this is a bug but only one client can resieve notifications at a time, for example I have to close the windows client for the IOS client to get notifications
No, this is actually a smart design because why would you want get notifications if you're active on your computer anyway? Discord does pretty much the same.
Well, it still crashes a lot. Also when opening notifications that person x sent a message, I want to land directly in the proper conversation, not in the main window, so please make that a thing. A suggestion for both sides, I haven't tested it on android yet since I still have some outdated version or idk what that one was.
