Similar option to the qc forum, one should have the option to vote whether a thread is actually useful / needed or not. this could be toggled by the group owner.
Readers could then also apply a filter, efectively filtering out threads with bad votes.
Sure some people would be jurks about it, but I'm sure there's a way to come up how that can't happen.
