Hello all. Well, I promised I would make another mixed forum thread, because why not? I'm curious
to know, for everyone's thoughts, what loud sounds make you jump? Like this could be from
alarms to any kind of sound. What, you know, just what loud sounds in general, or any kind
of sounds in general, make you jump, make you get scared. I mean, I guess there are some
amber alerts here that do make a loud sound that kind of make me jump.
Sometimes, but other than that, there's not too much. I don't really have any other sounds
that would make me jump, or get scared. But yeah, I'm curious to know what anyone else
has thought of, and yeah.
Let the stars be your guide. Let your mind just relax. And when in doubt, meditate.
I suppose anything loud and sudden can make me jump. Sometimes even when I'm expecting something, like fireworks, I can still be prone to jump. Maybe not as much as when I'm not expecting something, but yeah, I've been known to do that.
nice that's that's good you know yeah I forgot you're not I forgot Charles I
forgot you don't use the text form sometimes I mean you don't use your voice
sometimes which is which is fine but yeah I mean most things kind of make me
do it basically the same when I least expect it sometimes sometimes the
messaging on that Elton makes me jump a little bit also but as well as the
online monitor feature but I like using it because it's yeah it's nice
yeah

going this is george um probably the sometimes the fire emergency could make me jump in my
school when i hear the loud when i hear the first thing sound it kind of makes me jump and then
sometimes when i'm going out for walks sometimes when i hear a dog sound that sometimes i wouldn't
say it makes me jump it sort of startled me a little bit and then i got used to it so
Yeah, I guess that, that makes sense, uh, I, oh, sorry about the background noise, you guys, um, yeah, but yeah, that's actually, that's actually some good,
some good news, um, but yeah, um, most of that stuff would kind of do that, alarms and all that, anyways, I'm gonna end it here.

I mean that does make sense car horns aren't very loud but I think another
thing that would make me jump probably is I don't know if anyone has this but
smoke detectors sometimes depends on how loud they are like the carbon monoxide
detectors in your house

It has been a long while since I jumped due to a smoke detector. Possibly if the battery or batteries needs changing and it makes that short, piercing sound I might jump then. A long, piercing sound would just irritate me, especially if there's no smoke, fire or whatever.
Well, yeah, that's, I mean, that was pretty good, I mean, yeah, a low sound, or, yeah,
just a short sound would probably just scare me from a smoke detector, but, I mean, what
if they go off on their own, that would be really terrifying, if they somehow went off
on their own.

I'm sorry to revive this, I noticed this thread hasn't gotten much attention much, but I figured I would also say that Amber Alerts also make me jump sometimes.
I had an Amber Alert one time when I got my phone, it woke me up.
I didn't know what it was, but my voiceover just started reading the contents of the Amber Alert and it woke me up.
It was pretty early though, in the morning for me.
This is like after the Christmas holidays.
But yeah, I apologize for reviving this, I just figured I would.

Hi, how's it going? This is George and
You don't have to be sorry about reviving
the topic you can
Revive anytime some people take a break and revive stuff
and
Yeah, sometimes I get amber alerts on my phone and sometimes it could startle
Start on me and stuff like that bd bd. It just happens out of nowhere sometimes
So just keep an eye on that sometimes it just happens out of nowhere and
you just ignore these alerts that's
All what you could do or shut down your phone
If if you never want to get that but I suggest you keep your phone on whenever you use your phone
Yeah, I suppose I could. I haven't gotten another Amber Alert since, actually, now that I think about it.
Let's see, do fireworks make anyone jump at all?
Not me, but just out of curiosity, if fireworks make anyone jump.

Hello again, it's me, um, Ember Alerts indeed, um, I had one the last time I, um, the last time I got one was like a year ago, when I was still in Belgium, going on vacation to the Netherlands,
but that day, there was gonna be a very, very hard, a very harsh storm, um, so we got an Ember Alert, or something similar, on all of our phones at the same time, we all have iPhones, so, um, on all of our phones at the same time, and we were in the car at the time,
and,
and everyone jumped, we, the car, we lost control of the car for like a second, but nothing happened, luckily.
The last time I got an Amber Alert was back in school when I was doing math class and one time when I was doing World of War class it can trigger off randomly but luckily it hasn't been doing that recently on my phone.
It just startles me when that happens and when fireworks, that didn't make me jump but one time my cousin set a firework back last year for Canada Day, my cousin set the firework and I can tell you I don't really like that sound because when I was sitting in the backyard it was so loud that it startled me somewhat, a little bit.
I prefer listening to it on the window.
Rather than listening to it very close, like 10 feet away.
But, when there's fireworks I like to be right near the action sometimes, I don't know, that's
just me. I'm sure anyone else may have different thoughts on this but even if
they are loud I'm sure I like being near the action of fireworks. It makes me
happy. Yeah.
