New to Android again, got a few questions

Hi everyone,
So, my iPhone unfortunately died recently, and for now I’ve got a loaner Android device to use until I can buy a new one.
It’s been a long time since I last used Android, and I know a lot has changed since then, so I’ve got a few questions:
– What screen reader do you recommend these days? Should I stick with TalkBack or is there something better out there now?
– What app do you use for reading books and documents? On iOS I used Voice Dream Reader and loved it.
– Also, I’m not a huge fan of the Samsung keyboard. On iPhone I mostly used braille screen input. Is there anything similar on Android?
– One more thing: What GPS apps would you recommend? On iPhone I used Lazarillo, Voice Vista, and BlindSquare.
Thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions!
I don't know what to do here

the fastest screenreader is jieshuo screenreader, free version is better than talkback, at least for me, but I use a payed version which is about 45 dollars on 3 years.
Talkback is ok, but works too slowly.
In talkback there is a braille keyboard, but if you don't want to use tb, find "advanced braille keyboard" in a playstore.
the best app to navigation on ios and android is seeing assistant go, try it..

Personally I use Talkback an have no issues with it. Not sure what app to recommend for book reading.

As for input, TalkBack has the TalkBack Braille Keyboard, but it's horrible and I do not recommend using it, it has some severe quirks and issues. For instance, say you type the word "number" and realize lateer that you wanted to type "numbers" so you go back and add the S to the word, except now it types it as "numberso" since it doesn't take into context where the S is being added. Its glitchy and it's had this issue since they introduced Braille display support years ago now.

If you're already familiar with Lazerillo, it's on Android as well and probably works similarly, I don't really use my phone for navigation.

Hello. I can definitely help you with android, I know lazerillo is available for android as well, so you can use that. Also, VoiceDream is available as well, but it's under some other name.

I'd recommend Jieshuo, as it's fully customisable. I'm currently working on the official hungarian translation, so you can expect it to be available in the near future. :)
As for reading books, I personally use FBReader. There's an app called @voice, it's not bad either. But there's always Voice dream reader for android, so you don't need to learn something new.
Use Advanced braille keyboard for typing. Yes, it's not the best nowadays - after a huge update, they took out a lot of stuff but if you'd like to type only in hungarian, you won't have any problems.
GPS apps... Hmm. There's Osmand, but if you have a 64 bit only device, it won't work properly. There's seeing assistant go as well, which is pretty good, and it has the same database as osmand.
If you have any questions, reach out, I'll be happy to help.
