bgt pack extractors
Back to Computers and Technology#1 axelsUniverse
So because bgt is like not being used for shit now, and I have a hole bunch of games in bgt, I want to ask if anyone has a program that will allow me to extract the packed folders / files, or even decode the actuall game?
P.S. I'm bored.

Here you go.

Thank you for the program. Unfortunately For example, a file data.dat in the latest version and in several older versions of Crazy party is encrypted and I do not know the decryption key. And the same goes for Bokurano two and Bokurano three.
#4 axelsUniverse
Ahh yes. One of the problems encountered is that often, these files are encrypted, and unless it is hidden in the code itself, there is no way that I know of to access the decryption key.

And this is allowed here?

Must I say more?

Except cracks and illegal piracy, I guess

Though that thread is week, is it not?

The crazy party sounds from the bgt version is unencripted, so you're good to go for that one.

Bgt pack tools can't extract sounds from a game it wasn't intended for.
#11 rudolf
Yeah of course, admins are just stepping in if someone of their friends or friends of them gets, quote insulted, as children. Didn't you know?

Dood, why? Don't say anything, man. That discussion ended a long time ago.
#13 msuchy
And in which latest version are they decrypted? I tried to extract sounds from data.dat for the latest version Beta82 and the message appears: this is not a valid pack file.

Well, because it isn't. Crazy Party now uses NVGT.

Oh, too bad. I assume there is no nvgt pack extractor.

There is, although I rather would prever to not share this one.

This thing does nothing illegal. It extracts data if it is unencrypted but if the data is encrypted it is useless without the encryption key. In fact, it is a simple compiled bgt script with some input boxes to get filename and encryption key from user and couple more lines which are using built-in bgt functions to work with pack files. More like a joke. I wasted my time and got nothing!

I'm just gonna clarify something here. So this pack extracter thing can't extract encrypted data, as previously stated. In that case, there's nothing wrong with that being shared here, as this is not cracking or anything like that. Oh, and before anyone asks oh why is an admin only stepping in now, well, the situation basically resolved itself, I'm just clarifying what has already been said, so that no one can't say that I are the mods didn't do our job, I would have responded sooner, but not only did this app decide to be stupid and fail on loading things the last time I was online, the last week has been very hot in terms of weather in the UK.
#19 rudolf
I know, I didn't share it because I didn't want to.

Lol that thing is already in the public domain. I mean the nvgt pack extractor.
