Let's just let the forum devolve to anarchy. We tried it a few months ago and it worked just fine. The only involvement should be for blatent and utterly egregious personal attacks and illegal materials.
Saves the issue of burnout while still keeping some semblance of order.

I think the problem here isn't necessarily the forum in and of itself. Rather, It's who's posted what in said forum and what's been done about it. I'm not going to name any names of course (to do so would be horrendous in the extreme), but in my time here on Eltin I've seen some truly aweful stuff from a few folks, and while they've gotten warnings or similar punishments, nothing more serious has happened. I say ban the folks who are making it their mission to spread chaos and hang the consequences. If that makes the mods unpopular, so be it. They are staff. They are not necessarily friends. With all that being said, I do hope that a new forum administrator is found, preferably a person who will be far more active in holding this community to the high standards that are naturally expected of it by the administrators.

But if they ban them, they come back with a different account, no problem. The protection system is so weak that a 5 years old child can break it.

So ban the other accounts too. It's exhausting, I'll grant you, but if it keeps trolls off the platform it's worth it.

How long does it take out of your day to ban an alt though? 2 minutes at max? There'll still be 1438 minutes out of your valuable day left.

Alternatively you could do the really smart thing and just have an automated service made to ban alts if yo ucan't be arsed to do it manually. Problem solved, maybe?

And how do you imagine automating it? People can come here with vpns but they are still alts. How would an automated task recognise you are an alt? I know not everyone is interested in IT but it's just fuck logic.

First of all, a lot of users in this thread showed their immaturity. It's sad that some parts of this community can't act like normal even in a thread like this.
But, hm, i think that i'm obliged to write some explanation and information on the current status of the case.
I sent the official message to Pajper in which i informed him about my resignation if noone meeting the criteria will not send cv to the moderation team. It was on 11.08.24. I gave myself time until the end of the month.
Noone who match the criteria sent me dm, so on 02.09 i sent next PM in whichi asked about next steps.
Pajper wrote on 05.09, that he is on a trip and doing business but has some ideas which he will present to me the next day. Unfortunately he not returned to me with any new message.

I think that leaving the community without any new admin or solution would be childish behaviour so i decided that i will moderate untill we (I mean me and Pajper) decide what to do next.
Therefore, applicants are still welcome to send their CVs to me. If we find someone who can help, i can still work here.

Indeed. I've seen very little constructive criticism from her, which is quite sad considering she was a mod here. While I've certainly not been the best person in the community by any stretch of the phrase, I've done my best not to resort ot verbal mudslinging and slander of others. If anything, any mudslinging I've done has more often than not been directed at myself for whatever strange reason. Hopefully things will now begin to move forward in a more positive direction.

Anarchy is not really a bad idea.
