I prefer deepl over google, but not sure if it speaks, say, turkish. If it doesn't now, it may do in the future though, I see that languages keep being added.

And as for what you guys said about machine translation, you all make valid points in my view. It really blows me away though how well translation services have become. Google is way better than it was, but now that I know about deepl and use it primarily, I'm getting some incredible results I wouldn't have anticipated. Yes, even when it comes to contextual stuff.

Nikolai, And with "durch den wind", you mean "out of one's mind?" I just tried that with deepl and it didn't show as a first result, but at least in the alternatives.

I'm tired. That's all. I am tired! Why does Enes always have to explain the same thing several times, you should ask yourself. Read post 29 once again and ask yourself the following second question: Did I really not ever say anything against Enes' arguments?
-- (ArcticMoon):
It's nice that you believe in what you are pushing forward for the tenth time, yet you didn't argue against any of our points, thus your arguments are too weak without any kind of justifications. Prove us wrong.

You aren't obligated to explain anything, noone holds a gun to your head and says you must post here.
Yes, machine translation is getting to be better and better, and I agree pretty much that deepl is the most perfect we have so far. But these machines will never replace human translators. I mean, sometimes for my translation tasks I need to look for a word for hours, and that doesn't mean I find something in the end. Deepl is getting to be better at recognising contextual stuff, but if you don't do human research, you might end up with a serious mistranslation and you won't even recognise it, because after all, it sounds good in your native language.
One of my teachers told us a story about an occasion, when he had to translate a kind of user guide for a washing machine. He did the tranlation in rush, so he didn't do any research, maybe a little. After a while he translated a second version of it, which was totally different, although it was for almost the same machine. It really, really matters if you need to keep your finger on a button and push it for a required amount of time, rather than push it again, again and again several times. It differs very much in english, but in hungarian it doesn't. Our word for pushing for a longer time is nyomni, while the word for pushing it quickly several times is nyomkodni. It's just a little change, which a translator might not recognise for the first time, especially when a language doesn't have two words for it.

Όταν θα κοιτάς την θάλασσα
Χωρίς να το θέλεις, θα βλέπεις εμένα
Και τα μάτια σου θα ‘ναι θλιμμένα
Όταν θα ξυπνάς στον ύπνο σου
Χωρίς να το θέλεις, θα σκέφτεσαι εμένα
Και θα νιώθεις μεγάλο κενό

I am obligated to explain everything again and again if you claim my arguments are two weak without any justifications yet you have to re-explain and justify your points on how machine translation will never replace human translators, as opposed to what you said earlier. So I did have some points against those of yours, right?

@ hozosch: That actually works. I was thinking more about on your brain, like I got this song in my brain and it won't stopp kind of thing.

Edit:

@Enes: We are re explaining multiple times because you keep bringing up the same point. If you are being mis understood, you might not be expressing your point clearly enough. How ever, everyone who has commented on your point believes they parse what you are literally saying.

Oh, so maybe I didn't even know that idiom. To me, it just sounded strange how you used it with "haben" like that.

#49

My german teacher at school used it sometimes. She may have been wrong though. That's for native speakers and people who are exceptionally fluent to decide I guess.

Hey GamerKid. I'm wondering how did you managed to get files with text? It seams that there is no just text files with japanese text whitch you can just rewrite to english. At list i couldn't find them in game directory.

For me, it translated it as
"I blew this conversation away."
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

#52

Yeah. That's kind of the literal result. The absolute literal translation is: I have this conversation through the wind, which is an expression the translator isn't going to get. That was my point.

Yeah context is everything. Even in English there are things you can't translate into another language and vice versa. Even in dialects and creoles there are things you can't translate into Standard English

Lol. Then, why this project even started if you don't know how to finish it? Sorry, but you should plan what and how you will do if are you going to do something. Remember this experience and make better planning in your future works.

You realize that importing the text into the game is 100 percent necessary to finish the project, yes?

Like, if you don't, you won't have your game translated.
