I have a problem with braille on ubuntu. I would have used another distro if my processer wasnt an a r m processer. Note: might try arch soon. Anyway I am using the mate desktop and orca and what ever I try, I cant get the thing out of computer braille! Orca is set to grade 2, and brltty is set to enusg2 in the prefrences menue. is it a problem with xbrlapi? What am I doing wrong?

You are doing all right. Orca has problem using liblouis. It uses brltty instead.

Are they on different places on ubuntu? What would I have to do on arch?

I found it on arch, I think. /etc/brlttyconfig, and un commenting my braille table did nothing.

Maybe ask on the Orca mailing list, or the Blind Linux users list.

I got somewhat less scrambled braille by setting the orca braille table to the exact same as the brltty one. English US grade 2 is different to en-US G2, but a decent amount of things were scrambled to the point where it would annoy me if I used my mantis full time with it.
