what happened to qc playroom?

hello! what happened to playroom from quentin c? i cannot start it. it cannot connect to server

You mean there's still no SSL, even though they're dealing with people's usernames and passwords? God, give me strength!

You may have to choose nonsecure alternative. That's the only one that works now.

ok, just, wow. I liked how Quenton C worked and played for awhile until now, that's like if google was a non secure website and only used http and no encryption.

Playroom indeed has SSL, although it doesn't work for some reasons. They are going to fix it in the next version, and until then we need to connect to the unsecure server. That's it. Don't be a fool and don't use the same password and username everywhere and you'll be fine.

DTV or whatever your name is, why such a reaction? Hopefully the devs will get that sorted out.

They say on their website that the nonsecure method isn't as ominous as it sounds. I do hope they get the problem fixed soon.

Yup. It's not indeed. Echoing Arctic-Moon's words, use a secure password that is different from your other passwords and you're okay, especially if you're connecting from your home network. There's no risk or invasion of privacy. I can assure you that Google knows a hell of a lot more information about you than Playroom, but that's another topic. 🙂 I'm really curious what the new beta brings us, apart from bringing back the secure server.

One plus, I think it does save your choice. You don't have to select it again every time you launch the client.
